When those basketball players had the NBA owners terrified of them walking out and Obama talked them into playing
let's tell the whole truth here...one of the last things I can remember where Kyrie was right when he said they shouldn't play at all w/ everything that was going on in the real world
The season was hanging in the balance when James and Paul spoke to Obama after a tense meeting between players, coaches, and union leadership on Wednesday night following the Milwaukee Bucks players’ decision to refuse to take the court and players from subsequent teams joining them. After no games on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, the league will return to play on Saturday despite a faction of players favoring leaving the bubble and ending the season.

Ehh that's middle school, middle school kids are pretty immature in general. I was WOAT in 7th Grade and did a complete 180 by the time High School started. I was an knucklehead in 7th grade but never got arrested, graduated high school, etc.

Middle schoolers made you give up hope on Black ppl? The Black adults in my life back then were pretty mature so I didn't have any sour views towards Black ppl as a whole.

See you saying black ppl and black ppl as a whole. The question was when did you realize you couldn't save all our ppl. Between the obsession with name brand shyt, mfs not wanting to learn shyt and the constant fighting i already knew nikkas was hit.I could see the pattern forming and the writing on the wall. I was on my Huey Freeman shyt in 7th grade.

Just observing a lot of how black men and women talk to/about each other online. I never see any other races sell each other out in public the way black people do.

If we can’t even stay on code for shyt like that then it’s not looking good for us.
its actually insane

imagine your pronouns being he/him/nikka and she/her/bytch

I refuse to give up on Black folks man....
:salute:
Imma keep it a buck...I know I don't have a lot of money and I don't do that much to contribute to society...but if i could get young black men and young black women back into house music and techno or something more positive than whats going on and try to reverse the course our people are on...than I feel I have done my part.

I lived a very selfish existence for years but I tried to do my best overtime to get back to the most high and do right outnhere.

TYRONE GA!
High school.

:francis:

Ignorant dudes on my football team fighting weekly over which part of the plantation they grew up on. When the racist football coach decided to discipline ALL OF US no matter if we were involved or not, I called a meeting and said let’s quit. They can’t win without us. These goofies rather do that torture (rolling 100 yards in kerosine) than take a stand.

:snoop:

I was a D1 level blue chip talent going into my senior year. I was featured in a National Coca Cola sponsored scouting magazine. That was it for my football career. Benched my senior year.

:mjcry:

Took a stand for my people and no one had my back. Do you know how much that hurt? I was depressed for 2 years.

damn fam.

Great another defeated negro type of thread.
I won't say that all of us can't be saved.
I rather save the ones that's worth saving and let the others stay lost.
At the end of the day, you can't save everyone. You'll kill yourself trying to save people that's not worth saving.
One idea doesn't mitigate the other. Your post even acknowledges the title.

No one in here denied or alluded to not saving the ones that are worth saving

The thread title is about when you realized there are ones not worth saving

Somewhere on an Xbox
2013. Got out of the Army and went back to my old neighborhood and found so many brothers and sisters that had so much promise and drive strung out on corner after corner.

We did homework and played ball together and talked about dreams. Only to see them in this state, relying on their parents in their old age. I even had a vehicle emblem stolen from the front of my car and one of my homies tried to sell me DVDs in the streaming era. I just gave him a 20 and told him to keep em.

Some of my other friends are doing great and we hit each other up on LinkedIn but it's hard to shake seeing friends I came up with fall so hard.
I know that feeling well. A homie that I grew up with dating all the way back to elementary school died a few months back of cancer. He left 3 girls behind at the age of 25.

Now his kids will have to go through the same cycle that he and his sisters went through; father dying at a young age, and being raised by their mom.

Seeing what I left behind is one of the biggest reasons why I don't want to go back home. Being reminded daily that my fam back home is still poor, and that most of my black friends are doing worse than they were in high school...my family wants to see me, so what can I say...
