I took a test run in my mid 20s. Was getting a cut before heading out to a club and on a whim, told him to cut it all off. Wish I'd remembered how cold it was outside that night, would've thought differently lol... But anyway I went to the club, and females was rubbing on da dome piece showing a niigga luv... Wound up growing it back out, but when the hair started growing thin on top in my late 20s, I knew I wasn't long for the world. Shaved it off after my niigga's wedding since he asked me to promise to keep it since he didn't want to see me with a hurt dome for wedding pictures. I knew I was gucci but agreed to wait, been bald ever since.

I got one weak corner that’s easy to hide, and a big forehead…but other than that have a full head of hair. Growing it out now so I can rock some braids just once before it’s time to call it quits

This is false, a low cut of a bald head will make you look a lot younger than a weak hairline or a thinning top. Mine started to thin on the front/temples. Did a nice guard and started getting all sorts of comments about how young I look and people not believing I’m in my mid 30’s. However you do have to maintain and hit it once a week or it goes right back to looking janky as soon as the hair goes past long stubble, it only takes about 3 minutes though.

Shaved my head at 34. Corners got weak and I didn’t want what we used to call a “happy hairline”. I can grow it out if I want but it’s cheaper for me to shave it so I pocket that money.

Maybe, I actually shaved my head from about age 15-25 then rocked the fade for 10 years, so maybe I was just used to myself with less hair by the time it came to pay the piper. I thought about trying to preserve it but nature will always win in the end.
