tbf tho, it made sense. DB is a Martial Art series, it wouldnt make sense for the series to go and focus on Gohan who is not martial art driven character like Goku.

i grew up a Gohan fan, but Vegeta would make more sense as a replacement for protagonist than gohan given his drive to be a better martial artist.

Get on that ASAP, the new Broly movie is more of a DBS movie in terms of tone and seriousness but IMO its better for it. Some of the best DB fight animation and Broly is a better character.

Sounds like y’all got into DB as older heads? Because as children we were watching DB every episode for completion sake, we enjoyed it all being the first anime most of us got into.

Even so, Buu Saga has its moments. Maybe could’ve been shorter but it’s a nice conclusion to the entire series (would y’all really have liked it they ended it at the Cell Saga and made Gohan the lead as they had planned to??)

Super’s major fights all got that organic DBZ feel. Maybe we don’t got the patience for the build up anymore but MAN. The conclusion to the Trunks saga is DARK. And the Tournament of Power has some of the best action and creativity the series has ever seen.

I was 14 when the buu saga was going on... Every time it seemed like he was about to be defeated he transformed.... Fat buu, kid buu, adult buu, Gotenks buy, etc etc. It was too much. All the ssj3 power ups and fusions and they still couldn't beat this nikka. I was just over it
