I don't watch/listen to enough Budden to get this reference, but most people who were already finished with middle school were never impressed with Wayne during his rise to stardom. Everything y'all thought was "lyrical" during this period was simply just aimless rapping over decent to good beats.

We don't care about yall flabbyheads opinions though :ehh:

We got old ass Nas stand in here defending his offbeat trash ass Nasir and Lost Tapes 2.

Yall gotta chill :pachaha:

In your opinion.

No Ceilings came out after Carter 3.

Goodnight.

That's when Wayne said "I have green backs like I'm laying in the grass" and around the same time he said '"riders rolling with me like 11 wheels" even though I am a Sigma:hubie:

Yea i was good on that shyt.

Yea its my opinion. Goodnight be blessed

Filler is a subjective term though.

Such a vague term.

Any song someone doesn't like can be considered filler.

It can be subjective, but a filler song is pretty much a song that doesn't stand out. It's just there. If it wasn't on the album, it wouldn't be missed. Most albums have filler even those considered classic.

Nas was not off beat on either album. There's a difference between him packing syllables into his bars vs being off beat. Talib Kweli raps off beat.

Okay so that's more subjective talk though.

3 people in this very thread have 3 different opinions on what filler is :pachaha:

YES!

this is his best song bruh. nikka really showed his ass on it.

My favorite record off my favorite Wayne album

It's not even the best song on the album :martin:

I actually dont really care for this song and wayne is top 10 of all time to me. But this just shows everyone has different tastes and there's nothing wrong with that.

The term itself isn't subjective though. If you got an album full of 5 star songs, the 4 and even 4 star songs and under are filler. And a lot of the times, the fillers are the divisive songs where you will have even die hard fans split on whether they are dope or not. I mean, we could take The Fugees The Score. It is considered a classic, but every song on it isn't 5/5. There's few people who would disagree with the singles and "How Many Mics" and "Zealots" being 5/5 songs. The rest are not as great nor as heralded as those songs rendering them filler.
