when is the last time history books have added up to date events

I remember in primary & secondary school I'd always skip to the very ends of the book and see what stuff they added when we got new books, but it was always the same shyt except presidental election stuff. Anybody have fam still young enough to say?

Even though that is probably a for sure not to happen for more, obvious reasons I just can't help but think what is the protocol for this type of thing. Is there a place you can call to petition for this?
