When Ja Rule dropped “Clap Back’, was it an uppercut to 50 Cent in real time???

Wasn't Blood in My Eye essentially an album fulla disa tracks?
Yes.

It's the main reason I've always said Blood In My Eye should've been a mixtape instead of an album.

Just imagine if Kay Slay (Rest In Power) would've hosted Blood In My Eye that project would've had a completely different out look.

Yea, I thought so. I wasn't sure. I only listened to it once. U know its bad when u got to make an actual "album" full of diss songs

It actually was respected out here in Queens and had the streets buzzing for a little bit. Unfortunately it was way too late as 50 was just too far ahead at that point.

Good track but it was over. I literally remember Ja fans walking into school the day after GRODT came out and pretending like they had never been Ja fans. Ja would have had to do something outside of wax to get fans back. Like straight up beat the shyt out of 50 on camera.

Ja career was over at that point. Look at the movies, he was in the fast and furious the year 2001, by the year 2002 he was getting a role in a garbage ass steven seagal film :mjlol: the one where seagal was pretending to be black wearing durags and shyt.... Yeah it was over for Ja.

TBH he was already slowing down by 2002. And "Wonderful" was still big and that was 2004. I just think there's more to it than this "bu bu but 50 got him out the paint only to Bogart his lane" narrative y'all got going on.

Man, Clap Back is still hard, that sh!t was absolute fire to me.

"Let's take em to war nikka,
like Bush and Saddam /
I'm a find out where Em Laden's hidin and bomb em first /
it could be much worse,
I could be hidin in your shrubs /
mask and gloves, gun hot to burn that ass up"

Beat is crazy.

:ohhh: I still remember when the music video dropped on 106 & Park back when I was a High School freshman, but watching the music video right now... This might've the 1st time I ever sat down & watched the whole music video.

EDIT:

50 ate that punch...

G-Unit still had the streets on lock. Ja tried to use Farrakhan to squash the beef and that led to 50 releasing the G-Unit Radio: No Peace Talks.

Ja should have took a year off and go recover from the beating from Shady/Aftermath.
I think more importantly what kept 50 above at that point was he was still active in the mixtape game. He and his group was still dropping great material in the streets and Ja and murder ink couldn’t do that.

I always thought that was disadvantage for Ja and murder ink agaisnt them

They had a high profile case on they head too. So wanted to keep a low profile but you can't have the biggest nikka in the game and be in the highest profile beef since Nas and hov and go low profile. Was really a perfect storm of 50 been on fire. Em, Dre and nikkas been tired of ja. Even Drake dusting Meek and Push wrecking Drake aren't on the same level of what we saw ja go through. That was on some royce v lupe level
