Justin Bieber use to make kid's friendly Disney music and as he grows with his audience you can begin to hear more adult themes in his music. Justin Bieber is just an example of an artist growing with their fan base so there's no relevant comparison beyond that to be made.

With Eminem you had a rapper who came out talking about drugs . . so obviously that would attract a druggy audience and influence people to be more open about doing drugs.
As he grew with his fans . . any business analysis of his market would indicate that within a few years a portion of these fans would have a high probability of being able to relate to the rehab lifestyle. The getting off drugs lifestyle, etc. . . where you are a "former addict" . . "I'm clean for ____ days" because your daily mantra. Just so happens that his music interest as an artist grew to express these types of feelings and struggles right in time to be in line with the growth of his fans . . it's so demonic
