When Lebron retires will he be "apart of culture" like Jordan?

Most non-black Americans could give 2 shots about LeBron. They can't wait for him to retire.

Jordan on the other hand was universally loved by everybody, even people from Detroit, NY and Cleveland, teams that had huge rivalries with the Chicago Bulls.

Even in black America it's 50:50 with LeBron

It's not close. Curry is arguably the most popular player of this era.
I don’t know who told you that dumb chit but it is not a fact. We had real hate for opposing players back then.

It seems defining the culture is tricky at best.

But no matter how you define it, I imagine it has almost zero correlation to his greatness on the court.

If you’re talking about whether an athlete resonates with the broader public, that’s a style or personality thing. Iverson and Kobe resonated on levels that far exceeded their actual careers. I mean even Tim Tebow remained a large figure years after his peak at Florida or his brief time in Denver, for obvious reasons.

I don’t think being part of the culture or relevant to the average person in retirement says much. Charles Barkley, even as great as he was, looms a hell of a lot larger than other players who were greater. I guess I could even say that about Kenny Smith.

The media maybe so he can stick around and further control the narratives about him, at least til his steroid use gets put on blast but that's about it. He's gonna have to force it to stay apart of the "culture".

It depends on him. I think he and Curry both have that level of cultural relevance now and if they want they can become beloved media personalities. Shaq did it, Kobe was starting to do it. It really depends on how much they want it as players.

Im talking about right now, contrarion ass nikka.

Actually, even back then, Jordan used to get applauded in all arenas. Except for Cleveland and Detroit and to a lesser extent, NY and even there they begrudgingly respected his talent. Its nothing like with LeBron where he's not even respected.
