You are wrong. When MJ was 36, he was in one of his 18 different retirements.

MJ was arguably the best player in the league at 35, true. But he had much less mileage at 35 than Kobe did.

The cigars, all-night gambling and 18 holes of golf I'm sure makes it a wash. (If anyone knows golf...18 holes isn't easy).

I loved Kobe's game but the boy just selfish. Even how he treats teammates. Always said as a player I would much rather play with Magic or Lebron than Kobe.

On top of that unlike MJ Kobe would also take bad shots. Jordan was much better at taken more efficient shots.

Jordan was a worst person to his teammates. Yet people love MJ for it and try to hate on Kobe for it.

So when did Mike ever get himself in trouble and dry snitch on Pippen? When did Phil ever pop shyt about Mike? How many of Mike's old teammates throw shade at him? You Kobe fanboys are delusional. Kobe was not the teammate, leader, or player that Mike was. Why is it so hard to accept that?

Except the reality is there is no asterisk only bitter mavs favs and wade haters say that yet in history and the record books it will go down as the greatest finals performance in history
I am not a mavs fan nor a wade hater.

The fact is that the refs heavily influenced the outcome of that series, only diehard Heat fans who can't view this objectively will disagree.

Are you serious? There are quotes out there of Mike's old teammates wanting to kill him or beat the shyt out of him for the way he treated them. Did you really not know this or are you acting obtuse on purpose? :wtf: And I like how I was talking about one specific thing but you are trying to bring in all this extra shyt, to shyt on Kobe. It reeks of desperate haterism.

Yes this is true kind of. MJ was 35 at the start of the 1997-1998 season. But he is born in February. So he was 35 to start the season and 36 to end the season.

Even in the game 6 finals vs Utah Isiah Thomas mentions when Pip goes out with the bad back can MJs 36 year old body have enough energy in the 4th to win the game.

Also MJ still retires at 36. The NBA has a lock out and Jordan was with the players fighting the lock out. When 1999 rolls around he announces his retirement in January. The lock out ends and he turns 37 in February.

MJ returns at 39 with the wizards and turns turns 40 during the season. He plays one more year and retires at 41.

:snoop: no he wasn't he was 35.Born feb 17 1963 means he turned 35 in feb 1998.

This clown ass nikka be making shyt up I swear to god

I'm a huge Jordan fan but couldn't agree more his image was closely guarded and casual fans still think he is a great guy I was telling this white dude at work how horrible a person mj was and he didn't believe me lol.

Those aren't quotes that Mike's teammates said in the media. We all know that Mike was hard on his teammates and even got into it with some of them, but the point was that he never lost their respect. Even 15-20 years after the fact, how many of Mikes's old coaches/teammates have come out and threw shade at dude? Contrast that with Kobe and it's a clear difference. Kobe has had teammates and his coach throw shade while he was playing with them and after the fact. It's not about hating fanboy, it's about the reality of this comparison. Since cats insist upon constantly trying to compare Kobe to Mike, it's important for the truth to be known.

Exactly, a lot of that inside information came from Ho Grant...who at the time wasn't feeling Jordan. He speaks glowingly of him now, almost like a child who grew up and appreciated his dad being tough on him. Kerr got punched by him and Kerr has nothing but good things to say now. Rodman was halfway out the league with his antics, until the Bulls took a chance on him. Rodman was held in check by Jordan, not Jackson, that's respect.

The thing is though, who has shown Kobe disrespect other than some scrubs like Smush Parker? I mean really that's who you guys hold your hats on that teammates don't like Kobe? And Phil may have thrown shade but he has also walked back his comments, the dude is always playing mind games so I don't see how that's relevant either. But keep reaching to prove a point . Yeah he's a hard ass at times but if you actually care about the truth, then you would know that a huge amount of NBA players who have played with him respect the hell out of him. You got guys like Pau Gasol calling him his brother. A guy he won a championship with. That's the only shyt that matters here, anything else and you're reaching.
