Except the reality is there is no asterisk only bitter mavs favs and wade haters say that yet in history and the record books it will go down as the greatest finals performance in historyit was a great performance but it cannot be considered #1 based purely on the fact that there exists an asterisk on it.
it still feels like most of wade's biggest moments came at the free throw line, i don't know i haven't watched that series in a long time. maybe my memory is fuzzy, or maybe i''ve just been exposed to too much resivionist history... but when i think back to that series i swear it felt like all those big d-wade games were decided at the free throw line.

And on pace to miss the postseason playing with 3 other hall of famers and 6 all stars overallHey bytch nikka, Kobe was putting up 27 PPG, 6 REB, 6 AST the season his achilles blew up.
Of course not just rubbing salt into the wounds of these Kobe stanswas it EVER a debate?![]()
Either you nikkas are young cats or just casual bball fans. Wade in his prime is one of the best slashers and finishers at the rim ever. He played aggressive and attacked the basket relentlessly. They could not stop him. Hence the free throws. Down 0-2 in the Finals. Game 3 down 13 pts in 4th. He single handedly willed them to win 4 games straight for his 1st ring. Clutch shot after clutch shot. Whether its #1 is subjective but it's definately up there at the top.
Here is your refresher since you can't remember.
Keep cookingOf course not just rubbing salt into the wounds of these Kobe stans

This was the most controversial call of the Heat/Mavs series. Down by 1 with a few seconds left in overtime, he went 1 on 5 and according to popular opinion, went untouched to the basket and blew the layup entirely on his own. The refs pretended that Dirk pushed him in the back and Harris grabbed him arm and allowed him to shoot two free throws to win the game. Both obvious lies if you look at the proof![]()
Says who? Why are you talking in hyperboles? This is why I dusted off your last monologue, you refuse to stay on topic. According to you, no skill, attribute, or fundamental approach of another player can be compared to Kobe's until they have 5 rings and 32000 points. No one here is comparing resumes or overall greatness so leave that canned "5 rings!" nonsense out of here..
I don't wish for him to play like anything. When has Harden shown a more fundamentally sound game like Kobe has during that Suns series?Since you keep bringing up Kobes series against the Suns, don't you wish he would have chosen to play like that more often? Yet we all know its ridiculous to expect (or even hope) for him to play that way.
I am talking about the present and Harden is a player that is trending upward. He is still prone to bad games or bad series just like any other player is.
So if he puts up another performance like he has done over the past two post seasons, are you still going to preach that his game is more fundamentally sound than what we've seen from Kobe?If he has another bad series this year, it will be that the other team was better or that he simply wasnt good enough.
It won't be that he had his head up his ass and was playing a flawed game of basketball that minimized his talents.
I don't think the series was rigged, but can you honestly sit there and tell me that if Kobe had a similar series (where he averaged 16 free throws a game and got the benefit of the doubt of 50/50 calls throughout most of the series), that it wouldn't be used against him rather than for him?lol, the idea that the refs "rigged" it for wade those finals is such a tired, unsubstantiated narrative
it makes me think people who still believe that are either trolling or just never watched those games
wade shredded those clowns singlehandedly, that's my GOAT![]()
Would you be painting Kobe in this light if it was he who was coming under these accusations of being aided by the refs? I think not.![]()

Wade played great that series, no doubt about it, but would it be looked at in the same light if it came from Kobe? Obviously I'm talking about the folk that don't like him here.
Fair enough.maybe, maybe not
it's hard to answer a hypothetical like that, especially considering I don't think kobe would be capable of that kind of performance simply because of the difference in their play styles
