Not a big conspiracy theorist, but when you look at something like that old Kings vs Lakers game, it's obvious that something wasn't right. Also, one would be naive to think Stern hasn't rigged a few drafts. Bron going to Cleavland, Rose going to the Bulls, the Hornets getting the #1 pick as part of the sale.

Have y'all forgot that this nikka even rigged the dunk contest right before our eyes. That shyt was so blatant! It was a fukking Kia commercial on right after Blake jump over a Kia, who sponsored the fukking event! And he clearly wasn't the best dunker.

I don't know about the games. I think referees have their attention brought to certain things by the higher ups who may or may not have a certain agenda. So while no one can say for sure if some games or rigged, you can't put the idea past Stern because he been rigging other shyt in the league for years.

Game 2 of the 2008 finals was fixed.

That game had some of the weirdest one sided foul call I haver ever seen

I usually ask them to elaborate and they usually fail to articulate what they mean when they say the NBA and sports in general is "fixed"

a lot of the time it's people that don't even watch sports all that much or have never played ever in their life are the ones that usually spew that nonsense

I think it is because we can compare it to the NFL and NFL refs don't have nearly as much control over a game, shyt even baseball. They can call holding everytime but thats about it. NBA refs have each game by the balls and can alter a game with a few whistles. You know there are NBA refs scheming behind the scenes. It's just crook human nature just like cops

The fact that there are superstar calls and it is widely acknowledged that they exist should tell you all you need to know. Stern will say himself "we try to protect our stars" but a foul is a foul is a foul whether you making 20 mil or 2. Also the fact that refs call things different from quarter to quarter. Sometimes they'll call touch fouls and the next half they're letting guys get mugged and no whistle.
Like someone said above it isn't fixed but def swayed one way.
And to those who say "make a shot" How come no fixed accusations are brought up in other sports.

When you see shyt like that technical on Stephen Jackson yesterday when the Spurs were making a little run, or these subjective convenient charging calls, it's SO easy to question it.

This dude at work brought it up to me (so I know ppl are discussing it). And we were just thinking about how the only two teams with those 'sitting in the rafters discussing banners' commercials are the only two teams to both come back from down 0-2 in the playoffs in the Conference Finals.

shyt just looks shady.

I don't believe the games are "Fixed" but I think they try to sway it in a certain direction without being Overt with it.

I saw it a little with the Miami game (Still didn't work)

and I saw it last night (Worked, somewhat)

Stern didn't want it to go back to San Antonio and have a chance of the Spurs being in the finals.

As much as he would like the Heat to be there, I'm sure Boston isn't as bad as some other teams and they have tradition.

Its kinda like reality TV, where alot of it is real. I think that try to do what they can to get the outcome they desire.

The games may be TWEAKED or heavily influence but outright FIXED...I dont know. The draft lottery is suspect. Cavs getting #1 pick after Lebron left. Wizards getting #1 pick in 2010 after the owner died.Hornets this year.Even that Chris Paul trade went down crazy.

i do believe that refs are influenced in some way. i have just seen to many convenient calls made that fit perfectly for the script. the crowd behind the frenzy and refs get caught up right in the mix of the cinema. i think this is most cases

but then i do believe there are times when the refs are just flat out handing a game to a team because they are concerned with the advancement of the teams. when you see what happened in that lakers vs sacremento series, or even early in this playoffs when you see the heat get 20+free throws and the knicks get 1 that is someone making a call from upstairs..

:scusthov:
This is where you lost credibility.

Like the league needed the refs to swing the Miami/NY series.
:comeon:

If anything, they would've been rigging it for the Knicks so they could win more than one game.
