I mean Tanner is worth a first. He’s younger than Tyler Shough who was pick #40 and has shown way more.
The way teams value quarterbacks is retarded.
A team could trade for him and then sign him to an extension for $15m/yr and have a playoff level quarterback for half a decade with enough room to build a team around him.
Or they can roll the dice that Jaxson Dart is as good in two years as McKee is right now.
Did you believe he was worth a first before todays performance? I could have been sold on a 2nd, maybe even a 2nd and a 5th.
Now, I'm looking at him as the hottest commodity on the market. He absolutely has to net a first or two 2's by now.
To your point, I can't think of many QB's drafted from the past four drafts that Tanner wouldn't beat in a camp battle outright. I think the only QB's that are clearly above him are Jayden, Caleb, CJ and Purdy. Him potentially being the 5th best QB from the past 4 drafts is crazy.

I thought he was worth a first after what he did at the end of last season with Jahan Dotson as his #1 guy.
He showed in those games that he’s winning NFL quarterback. Maybe not an all star but he’s a guy you can win with.
The 24 draft actually looks like it could have good potential and a lack of busts.
But usually even a surefire first round QB is a risk that they couldn’t beat the NY Giants when throwing the ball to back ups. McKee has shown he can do that.

Tanner was nice last year also in the preseason. I would def be taking a look if I needed a QB .

Yes it's preseason but Tanner picked up from the end of the last season. With Pickett gone, he naturally moves to that 2nd spot behind Jalen. I don't know about the other QB's, I have to see more. Defense looked a little shaky in spots. I know it's 2nd and 3rd string but some of them might not make it. Burrow and Chase was cookin. But we were cookin that 1st string Bengals Defense too with the 2nd string so Burrow and company may have to put up 30-40 a game again if they play like that during the regular season.
As for not playing the starters. Look it's a risk/reward situation. The Eagles for the most part start out strong in the season. The last 3 season in Sept-Oct, the Eagles are 18-3 (Would be 19-2 with Saquon's catch). So again I just don't see the point of the starters playing. Yes I expect them to look a little sluggish early but they always pull it together. Now Jake, yes he has to get FG and Kick Off reps. But let the other players battle it out. Next up Mr. Shedeur himself is coming to town with the Browns. Also joint practices with them as well.

He making the team he also had first reps today on offense. Eagles might go with 6 wideouts this year
