When will China flex it's military outside of it's borders?

You gotta back to ancient times to see china invade other nations, and that was only certain dynasties, like the Yuan Dynasty which were Mongols put in place by Genghis Khan

they not interested in flexing military like that, the only want the territories they feel are apart of china because they were part of ancient China

My prediction for China is, they become the number 1 economy, which will not have significant consequences for the west because their GDP per capita will not increase and most of their overall GDP will go to supporting senior citizens. Climate change will ravage them, but I see them absorbing a large piece of Siberia within 50 years. China will not be a military threat until that happens.

Their army is massive, but untested and their navy sucks balls, but they're building hella missile silos. They'll continue to be a troll for the foreseeable future.

This is well said and very true especially the part about Russia.

Putin actually brought this up in a speech not too long ago when he basically stated that most of those lands (Ukraine, Georgia, Belorussia, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia) is all historical Russian territory.

on sheer numbers alone, China's military is nothing to scoff at.
their equipped with knockoffs of US & Russian gear from guns

for commerce. if they were smart they would build them with a dual

• They're currently churning out naval ships at extremely fast rate and currently expanding their shipyards in Jiangnan and Dalian.
• Inducting more SPHs, IFVs, and armoured cars to fully mechanized their force.
• Building supercarriers and fifth generation naval plane.
• New nuclear silos.
• New submarine shipyard to procure SSN and SSBN.
• New anti ship ballistic missiles.
• Anti satellite capability.
• New small arms and armor for infantry
• Unmanned vehicles to complement troops

Their Navy is threatening enough to where we’ve intentionally slowed down the process for them to get enough semiconductor chips (and fukk everything else up in the process) to aid them in their assembly of aircraft carriers. They have the ability to mass produce carriers, one or two, every year at the moment but need the conductor chips for critical weapon systems…specifically for the guidance systems for their Russian based next gen anti aircraft systems and Zircon based supersonic anti ship cruise missiles.

Do not underestimate the Chinese.

Do not underestimate the Chinese.

The problem has always been projection. China cannot project their military. None of their aircraft carriers are nuclear powered which means they can't travel very far. None of them can carry heavy airplanes or the amount of airplanes like their American counterparts.

China has no friends in the region besides North Korea who is like their annoying little brother that may inadvertently pull them into a war because of South Korea or Japan posturing that they aren't prepared for, Pakistan who is a still a frienemy of America, and Russia who both will use each other until they have no purpose for each other. Every other country in the region does not like China. So if they cannot project their military and are surrounded by potential hostiles in the area what good are they?
