He had him jogging in his corner, it doesn't take 10-15 seconds to check that lol. Cmon bro. But it was a good storyline so can't hate .
All refs do this. You can't just stand. You have to be standing by 10, but then they'll check to make sure the fighter can go on, and the fighter has to respond. They'll do a number of things - tell you to raise your gloves, ask can you continue and check your eyes, ask you to walk to corner and come back and fight. If you've heard of a standing 8 count, it's the same practice. Ref did a great job.
Actually, more credit should be given to Fury. He did the right thing by giving himself a couple of seconds to regain focus before trying to stand.

What I was saying is that ref's count is depending on the officials ring side that starts it once a boxer is down then the ref follows up. There are alternate angles of the KD where you could see the one of the two ladies ring side getting up and starting the count and then the ref looks at her to see at what second he should continue on. It's impossible to exactly have a 10 seconds count as the ref doesn't have a stopwatch on him but the rules of boxing does state that a boxer should regain his feet within that time.
