diwali riddim :mjcry: so powerful :salute: the don wayne wonder

Fire song, but it would have been nice if the girl in the vid at least pretended like she was checking for Wayne Wonder a little bit lmao. I mean she's not feeling dude AT ALL, not sure if she just wanted more camera facetime or his breath smelled like dog shyt, but it's a bad look.

I know it's a weird critique, but I'd never really seen dude before and the video made me look at him like a cornball. It kinda made perfect sense that his other big hit was "Saddest Day of My Life".

i didn't sleep. i was well aware of what was on the radio. it was under-whelming.

Lil Jon era and Kanye era was dope, imo. Two different styles being relevant in the mainstream. Hell you can say 3 styles when you add in gunit. I feel like any style was relevant 03-05. It didn't matter if you was most def, common, busta, jayz, snoop, Wayne you got mainstream play.

Radio was much better than the ja rule on every other single era or cash money/ruff Ryder subject matter being stunting or killing to get radio play, lol.

I'm not impressed. I remember when there were 3Xs as many styles on the radio.
I'm also not into giving out participation trophies. I'm all about quality. I don't care what you rap about.

cash money/ruff ryder era was way better, and everybody you name-dropped were on the radio back then too.

that mid-00s era was really no better than the jarule era of radio. while the jarule era was riddled with generic love songs & formulaic commercial records, the talent level was higher, so it evens out.

I just turned 11 a couple of days before the blackout. Moms gave me $100 and my boy and I went wild that day. Bought a boombox for $10 cause homie across the street didn't think the lights were ever coming back (early during the blackout, nikkas thought it was a terrorist attack) and walked around Wash. Heights, Dyckman and Harlem on some Radio Raheem shyt. Nobody was robbing anyone that day, everyone was just chilling on their stoops- talking shyt, playing dominos, rolling dice, drinking 40's and eating those ice-cream pops, cause stores were giving them out for free. This song was playing the whole day, really brings me back to a time where New York was still... New York. Now it's just a place where NYU students who came from the midwest claim as their own, because they watched a couple of episodes of Sex and the City. :mjcry:
