I had no idea Ashburton even existed until I did Uber a few years back. People forget there’s a lot of old black money here since this city had the highest number of free blacks during slavery

Ashburton/Ten hills is where I'm targeting to buy my first home.

I just got a 20k bump to switch jobs from NIH in Rockville to SSA. Its money out here let these nikkas sleep :youngsabo:

Data doesn’t always tell the whole story. I see misery everyday. But I also see people succeeding everyday. I worked at a trade school for years that had job placement and saw hundreds of dudes come in get training and are now making more money the legit way then they ever thought they could. And this is a blue collar town. If you have a trade or are in the healthcare field you can’t lose. Plus there’s a ton of government jobs. Part of the OP showed potential. All those folks living in the burbs come into town to work. The jobs are here people just need guidance and a lot don’t have it
yes it doesn't tell the whole story but its important and can't be ignored

Baltimore has a lot of potential and will defintely see a huge investment and hopefully black people can profit when it gets gentrified

It has A LOT going for it but the violence, schools, and government need to get it together

Yep! That’s why the opportunities need to be identified early, so people won’t even go down the wrong road. I can’t speak enough about the options in Maryland for black people. We have a lot of pockets of black wealth too, like the Ashburton in Bmore and communities in PG county as well.
Merlin has the highest median income out of the 50 states.

What you nigletts fail to realize is the places with the highest median incomes for BLACKS are the places with the highest concentration of FEDERAL JOBS.

Federal jobs are targeting minorities at a much higher rate than the overall economy.

When republicans say they want small government, it has been because historically, the government is the no.1 way for minorities to finally enter the middle class.

Federal jobs are
  • permanent
  • high paying
  • guaranteed growth
  • amazing retirement plans and benefits
Minorities are over-represented in all federal fields. SPECIFICALLY BLACK PEOPLE. Go to any airport and notice how TSA is basically 90% black.

USPS? VA, DMV?

Never ends. Federal has laws in place to employ and target blacks for the good jobs. Republicans hate that. Every single location on the top ten are federal hubs, either by the public sector of military. Either way, there is a massive concentration of federal jobs in those locations.

Potential big job opportunity out Dallas for me in the next year, so I might be moving to the south in DC right now and it’s highs and lows here.

Much more Black wealth here than Cleveland though but same lows as Cleveland, South East and some places out PG county

1st Round Playoff Exits
The sad part is we actually have black folks that buy into it thinking the whole city is like the Wire. When we talk about cities prospering on here Baltimore gets dismissed. You hear more talk about PG county. This thread shows that middle class blacks are eating here. On top of that we have the highest percentage of black owned businesses in the country
certain people love to talk up B-more :mjpls:

Just last week the news media was going after the former mayor of B-more
