Doubters? They fukking sucked all year after being predicted to be a 3-4 seed and barely got in the playoffs as is. Why would anyone believe they would be good except Heat fans?

You can’t underachieve all year, look like shyt for a large portion of the year by playing well below ur level of talent then cry about not getting respect :heh:
We didnt get respect when we were in the bubble. This isn't new. And even NBA players would say Bam, Jimmy, and the Heat as a whole is an underrated squad

We haven't gotten respect since LeBron left if we're keeping it a bean

What kind of "respect" are you looking for?

What would make you happy?

What fukking respect do y'all deserve? Once again this is clearly about this season, and yall looked like garbage and played below your ability. Y'all got hot at the right time, but acting like the Heat deserved any kind of consideration as a contender after BARELY making the playoffs is completely fukking absurd.

If you want to say Jimmy doesn't get the respect he deserves, I'll agree. But the Heat as a whole outside of Jimmy have been a bunch of underachievers who haven't played up to their ability for 83 games, then just got hot at the right time.

They deserve all of the credit in the world in they can get 3 ECF in 4 years considering the injuries and lack of talent they’ve had over those years
The definition of talent must be subjective then if they are seen as having a lack of it. They clearly have some type of top notch skills as a team if they keep returning to the ECF.

It's the lack of "star power" that catches people off guard. Marketing does a number on our perception of actual skill.

Because they dismantled the number 1 seed with multiple all defensive 1st team players, the team that the majority of fans and analysts had as the overwhelming favorite to win the championship this year?

They’re currently dismantling the Knicks, another higher seeded team that was supposed to be one of the most physical teams in the league. Same Knicks that dominated the Mitchell-led Cavs?

Same team that was the first seed last year and a shot away from the Finals last year?

Only the Heat can dismantle two higher seeded teams and have people be like “They got hot at the right time”. They weren’t getting respect last year when they were the 1 seed and made it to the ECF.

Seems like we’re a team that raises their game in the playoffs. Have we just gotten hot in 3 outta the last 4 playoffs?

They were predicted to win 51 fukking games on ESPN and won 44 and once again BARELY MADE THE PLAYOFFS. What respect did you guys deserve? What exactly are you guys bytching about, they played bad and people rightfully doubted them. Acting as if that's disrespectful is absurd.

They were 40-37 going into their final 5 games and there's a question of if they'd even finish in the top 8.

Why is it such a big deal that trash ass ESPN doesn't talk about the Miami Heat? For a board that claims not to watch ESPN outside of live games, y'all sure know what goes on at that network.

I believe the reason why people constantly doubt the Heat is because they have a roster full of undrafted guys playing for them. There's a segment of fans who probably find it hard to believe a team can be this good and competitive with undrafted players outperforming household names on opposing teams.

Miami has proven that their culture/coaching is one of a kind in that regard cause I doubt many teams could do what they do in trusting and building around undrafted players.

A lot of people choose the Knicks because they have a team full of notable players (Brunson, Randle, R.J, Hart, etc) and therefore believed they were the better team. Same thing happened with the Bucks without Giannis and it'll be the same when they play either against Boston or Philly.

No matter if Miami is the #1 seed or the #8 seed, fans will continue to doubt them because of who is on their roster. As great as Jimmy played last season/postseason and this season it wasn't until this year's postseason performances that fans are now truly giving him his flowers...and even then there's still doubters of his superstar ability.

I don’t think they’ve had the more talented roster in either of these last two rounds and I don’t think they had the most talent in the east last year even with the best record …they’ve consistent out performed their talent level imo …. Not to be confused with having 0 talent but speaking comparatively to their competitors
