Someone answer me this question: Can anyone name any Blood rappers from the South or East Coast that were around in the 1990's? Don't worry, I'll wait...

It's a sad trend to see rappers like Lil Gayne, (the fake) Rick Ross, Coochie Maine, Waka Cocka Lame, ad infinitum... become spokespersons of the Bloods when they didn't start claiming until they were already famous and well into their 20's and 30's.

Treach Naughty by Nature
There's a few more. Not many though.

Btw Rick Ross never claimed blood

Ok, besides Treach. I remember he used to talk about Double II. But he never used the blatant CB4 type of imagary we saw in the 2000 era. I never saw him wear all red or yell out su whoop :no:...by the way, Lil Wayne wore a blue rag on his 1st album cover. SMH!

Hardcore from Memphis.

A.P.G. = Avenue Piru Gang

But most rap nikkas in the 90's from coast to coast that were street gang affiliated, didn't really bang on wax like that if you remember. Outside of maybe a few underground groups, whether they were Crip, Blood, Folk or People.

Mid-90's Memphis rap was litered with that gangbang shyt before it become hip nationwide in the 2000's. Not alot of Crip/Blood shyt though, mostly GD/VL.

Gang life lost appeal when the "trap" culture got popular like the strip clubs, tricking, riding around dirty, smoking loud, etc. got popular.

It's threads like these & the responses in em that remind me the demographics of this forum. Bloods died out in NYC? :dead: Nobody claims gangs outside of chicago? :wtf:

Anyway to answer your question OP, they're not on 106 & Park where you can see em

I watched all that to see who won the fight

meh, i dont condone gangbanging at all but i gotta disagree with you on this one.

they were created because of the white gangs that were terrorizing the black(and latino) communities and the corrupt police. Once white's left they had no one to fight except themselves.

I dont think it could be put any better than this

Originally in LA there was only the Crips, the original Bloods were basically Crips who eventually split off

The goal was to protect the black community, the gangs in Chicago go back to the 40s (maybe even earlier) when black on black crime was pretty much nonexistent

There's a reason Crip stands for Community Revolution In Progress and Blood stands for Brother Love Overrides Oppressive Destruction
