he didnt go wrong anywhere lol, the nikka pivoted into other business and music became secondary. there is no incentive to make music consistently when you are making more money doing business deal and film. if you ask me he did everything right. he got rich and didnt die trying. also he is a grown ass man. you look at it differently when your putting out music that competes with 17 year old rap stars

Game beef took away his being untouchable. Downhill from there.

imo, it was a combination of chasing generic hit records and being an insufferable a$$hole....the beefing with everybody and bragging about sales got real annoying...so then, people started rooting against him because thats how shyt go, especially if you winning and popping shyt about it all the time
think about the fanbases he alienated.... going at Wayne while Wayne was on the cusp of taking over was a huge miscalculation
the irony is...while he was flopping commercially, he was making
shyt for the mixtapes...i always wished he wouldve said fukk the sales/top 40 shyt...and just focused on making a cohesive album full of that aggressive content he was always talking about...do a concept album or some shyt and just talk that shyt...but he got stuck in time when it came to making what he thought would be hit records because he wasn't comfortable with the inevitable fall off...nobody sells 8 mill every time out but he acted like he was going to and left himself vulnerable to people partying on anything less than that even though its standard to tail off in sales after the 3rd joint

and im not even saying make that type of album to sell records..i'm just saying the quality of his music was held back by chasing top 40
AND he dont like to be produced...that's another thing that gets lost..he likes to just pick beats and do his own thing but he could've benefited from locking in with somebody that could've crafted a sound for him

The guys that typically have longevity have a high skill level, and because of that skill level, can reinvent themselves.
50 cent is not a highly skilled rapper like those guys.
You can’t beef with damn near EVERYBODY and expect to keep good connections in the industry. This nikka said “fukk Jimmy Iovine” while being SIGNED TO IOVINE’S LABEL 
Even with all of the bullshyt 50 still had a great run. I mean being known like “LL Cool J” is in NO shape, form, or fashion an insult. LL is a legend who will go down in history as one of the most successful rapper/actors of all time. Who wouldn’t want LL’s levels of longevity?

he is wealthy and still in the industry but if he passed away im sure there will be some champagne flying everywhere as a celebration.
