where exactly do you nikkas think "the code of silence originated from"?
Breh, the original concept of the "code of silence", at least among black people, came from back during Jim Crow (probably even before that) when black people were being murdered by whites every single day for petty offenses, if they were offenses at all.
Back then, if a black person was on the run from the police, most likely they were innocent of what they were being accused of or charged with. If a black person turned in another black person, they were killed because they were seen as a sellout.
As I said in another thread, my Grandfather was a hustler down in Florida during that era, one of the worst states to live in at that time if you were a black person. He and many other hustlers in the neighborhood wouldn't shyt where they ate like dudes do now. They would snatch their enemies up, take them out to a field or swamp somewhere, and do their dirt there. No evidence, no nothing.
Nowadays, these dudes are sloppy, and wanna shoot recklessly and yell "STOP SNITCHIN'!" when they or one of their homies gets caught.
But, back then, if you were sent to kill someone and got arrested because you were sloppy and someone turned you in, YOU were the one who got killed, not the person who told (unless they were involved as well). You were killed because you were seen as reckless and a threat to everyone else's business.
This entire "if you talk to the police, period, you're a snitch" started when a few ignorant ass rappers started pushing that agenda. And we got dumb nikkas like you supporting that shyt and trying to say "Well the Italians did it too" when the Italians also viewed us as inferior and helped dump drugs into our neighborhoods.
