They had him turn face the night after the ppv if I remember right and had The Shelid beat his ass and it's been down hill since which sucks because clearly like he said he had a lot left in the tank off that promo alone.

It was a filler fued to keep Cena busy until Summer Slam which was a shame to waste the momentum/buzz Henry had. I don't think they expect that promo to get over so well or have that type of buzz/excitement with the fans like it did.
You say Cena should have lost but then we never would have gotten the rise of D-Bryan as the fans support over him being screw was huge and around this time didn't the fans start slowly highjacking the shows with Bryan chants.

Plus Bryan vs henry would've happened regardless since they were going with the David vs Goliath shyt with Bryan, having him conquer kane, big show, and henry. They (henry and Bryan) had pretty good matches low key

Like a throw back to the smackdown six days when they could just build an angle around a guy and make you care without really doing too much to them besides letting him cook
That post orton call from cole was one of his finest commentary moments and mark killed that promo and shat on them fans who started cheering and made them hate him
The most dominant heel run outside of Lesnar. He ran over Khali, Show, Kane, Sheamus, and Orton.....convincingly at that.
