So on and so on. The wigger phase is just that for 90% of suburban whiteboys. Being a "wigger" after a certain age is social suicide for a suburban white person.


Macklemore is proving that white Rap has the potential to cash out like Country music. Even though Rap music is more popular globally, Country music is more popular nationally because redneck crackas make up the majority of the United States. Hella people don't know that Country music is the most popular genre of music in the United States. White people whether they be from the trailer park or the burbs love Country music:

The only way Hip Hop could tap into that market is by becoming completely white. I've been in white people's cars and all they play is strictly white music whether its Toby Keith or Eminem. Most white people who are into Hip Hop only dig the old school sh!t like Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul because it is non-threatening, easily digested and friendly. Being a whiteboy like Mackelmore is even more non-threatening than that because "Eric looks just like this" to quote Eminem.

Hiphop will probably be what it is now but more extreme. A larger devide between hip pop & hiphop, back to where it was in the late 80's with like 1 or 2 hiphop stars, some scarce pop stars but generally 95% of what the hiphop audience listening to being off the mainstream radar.

In ten years, Hip Hop will be like Rock music. That is, a formerly black music form, completed dominated by whites. Its already happening. We are witnessing a profound cultural shift right now. Macklemore has more people paying attention to him than any rapper in decades. Yet, the majority of audiences who listen to Hip Hop, primarily, and black folks, in general, didn't even know who dude was until a month ago.
