Goodness, in his prime, he was easily top 10. Easily. Now, he's sucks and he isn't even a top 30 NBA center right now. But Idk.

Shouldn’t be considered a Hall of famer IMO.

He “dominated” by default when the league was severely lacking with quality bigs. Whenever Yao faced him Yao took a watery shyt on his head.

Maybe mid 20s or so.

1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
2. Wilt Chamberlain
3. Hakeem Olajuwon
4. Shaquille O’Neal
5. Bill Russell
6. Moses Malone
7. David Robinson
8. George Mikan
9. Willis Reed
10. Elvin Hayes
11. Patrick Ewing
12. Bill Walton
13. Wes Unseld
14. Bob McAdoo
15. Walt Bellamy
16. Dwight Howard

Right outside the top 15 for me :ehh:
Zo definitely ahead of him and IMO Mutumbo had a longer stretch of dominance on the defensive end to make a strong case.

He was at his best when the center spot was at it's worst, he gets no credit for that from me :yeshrug:

You put a "prime" Dwight into the league right now and he's not even a top 5 center, his career numbers vs the Gasols are horrific by the way.
:jbhmm:

I keep forgetting about the Gasol brothers and do think Pau gets into the HOF.

That’s actually a pretty bad sign for Dwight that a finesse and a low post player worked him. I will have to pull the numbers up.

His numbers vs Marc are hilarious when you also take into account they include Marc's rookie year which was right in the middle of Dwight's prime :mjlol:

If he came into the league today he wouldn't even be top 5, dude was a bi-product of an era where his biggest competition all got hurt (Bynum, Oden and Yao).

I would love prime Dwight right now. Defensive beast that would be amazing in this PnR centric NBA. Howard was good at defending space in 2005-2009. Howard was an elite defender. I don't think I've seen anyone as good since but I've always stated, he overly relied on his athletic prowess. He was so fast, agile, quick, could jump out of the gym and strong that he was an unicorn. He was also a smart defender but he just can't move no more. It's like T-Mac, his fall from grace reminds me of T-Mac but T-Mac never ruined his rep like Howard has.

Offensively, I think prime Dwight would do worse in this era clearly but defensively, I think he would be even more impactful. NBA defenders are just more versitate today than in 2006.
