i have a rough draft of a top 100. thats how i know budden aint in mines.
but before i did it, budden was one of the names that i assumed would make it on there somewhere........but he didnt make the cut.

i didnt know he had so many mood muzik's tho. maybe those tapes i missed can help him out. i stopped checking for him years ago.

Somewhere after 100. Dude talented but is severely overrated as a lyricist and all around MC. Couple dope mixtapes but nothing else noteworthy. Anyone naming him in a Top 50 is a delusional Budden stan.

Lol. He is a very talented lyricist (never, ever denied that) but overrated. His fans tend to exaggerate his skills. I've seen dudes on here place him in Top 5 GOAT lists. Like how can you tell me you believe Budden is amongst cats like Pac, Biggie, Nas, Cube, KRS...? Sh!t is ridiculous. Like others have already said...he should be nowhere near the top of anyone's GOAT list.
I think people use Budden's corniness to downgrade his rapping abilities. There's no way he's not in the running for top 50 rappers ever. Not saying he's DEFINITELY top 50 but acting there's no way he is, is silly. He's a dope MC and lyricist

When I say more popular I'm talking about in the streets not overall and they aren't better in most cases. Some cases, sure. But not most. Not at all. And they aren't cohesive bodies of work.

Nah, I don't hate dude. I don't like him, but I don't hate him. I'm trying to be as objective as possible. Stans tell me he's this great lyricist so he deserves to be in a Top 50 list. I can name a SLEW of GREAT lyricists that shouldn't crack a Top 50 list but Budden should? Why? Cause he made a couple dope Mood Musik mixtapes? What else has he done? No classic albums. Arguably NO classic songs. He routinely gets out performed by his fellow group members on Slaughterhouse tracks. He got roasted by a rapper A LOT of people consider wack and a hip hop troll (Lil B). He doesn't even have any commercial success to hang his hat on. Really tybo, WHAT has he done to warrant such high placement you give him on a hip hop GOAT list? I'm waiting
