They can't. Hell, Bayard Rustin spoke at the March. Baldwin's sexuality isn't the reason why he didn't get to speak. It was because of the content of his speech being seen as too radical. They almost removed John Lewis from the list of speakers until his speech was modified.

Theres nothing to unpack, Im not gay. I family members who are gay. Coworkers, social associates, and I study historical discrimination for fun.

But i dont see my sexuality even matters. If a minority group says they feel categorically shunned by the majority (in this case gay blacks in our community), thats worth looking into instead of dismissing it with "myth" talk.
