This was a pretty bad choke job. Especially games 5 & 6, 6 especially. KD and Russ were a combined 43/117 37% with 18 turnovers in games 5 and 6. Klay was only able to come and snatch game 6 due to how shaky the Thunder had played up until that point. They had plenty of opportunity to take full control of that game and they never did. At the end of the day the Thunder were the Thunder. The problems with closing quarters/games out came back and but then in the ass. I think this puts an end to that duo. KD and Russ need to break up.

It's not as bad as 2004 ALCS, the NYY were 3 outs away from a SWEEP. A sweep that would have crushed the souls of all of New England. A walk, stolen base, then base hit equalized the score. Then a marathon extra inning session changed everything. If NY swept, the RSox would be done for good. Finished. It was a choke that changed the tides for both franchises. Since Big Pop's early morning HR, the Red Sox have won 3 World Series, the Yanks only 1. That was the blast that reversed the Curse. A choke job that crippled the NYY and A-Rod's career.
Arod won his WS after that you realize ? He carried the Yankees that year in the playoffs . It was the PED stuff that hurt him
