I honestly don't think they choked that badly. Game 5 was going to be an obvious win for the Warriors. Game 6 was bad for the Thunder, I'll give you that, but that game saw Klay Thompson knock down shots at at historic rate to steal the win.
At that point, anyone who really expected OKC to win it in seven was mistaken, regardless of how well they had played. I figured they had lost the series after failing to close it in six and was honestly surprised that they played as well as they did early on in Game 7.
At the end of the day, the team expected to win the series, won the series.
