Game 7 was on Westbrook. KD looked to be on fire early and somehow Westbrook had like 10 more shots than him at halftime. He didn't even look Durant's way when he started 3 for 4. Then Westbrook proceeded to do dumb, Westbrook things instead of getting KD the ball in good scoring position.

That said, the Warriors are an ATG team and the Thunder had a small margin for error. I don't consider it one of the biggest choke jobs. This isn't close to the Clippers last year or Kobe against the Suns in the first round.

That's what matters though. If the Thunder get ran off the court, like many thought then nobody would have had anything to say about them choking. Choking is all about having a chance and blowing it and that is exactly what the Thunder had and did. It doesn't matter how good the other team was beforehand. Their overall greatness has nothing to do with the opportunity that they gift wrapped to the Thunder and the Thunder blew...multiple times.

This is where the legacy discussion has come. We treating shyt as fact and operating based off that before it even happens now.

This might be a blessing in disguise for OKC. They need a veteran PG in the worst way. They can't close games...they can't close out any quarter actually. They are TERRIBLE in pressure situations.

And neither of them could hit a shot late in close game to save their lives. If they were still doing their thing in the 4th and GSW just pulled away by just being that much better then it's something different.

I agree, but the thread isn't asking whether or not they choked, it's asking "how high does this okc choke job rank all time in nba history," to which I responded not that high due to the caliber of the team they played

No, they are not one of the GOAT, going down 3-1 destroyed their argument for that. To be the GOAT, you have to dominate in the playoffs. GSW have not, they are off the list.
