I feel like Alicia's vocals/writing made that song. She sounded so right in the track and the breakdown with her on the "phone" really set if off.

And while I give Kanye props for the track, it's HEAVILY reliant on the sample and just the same piece of the sample looped a trillion time. I feel like he coulda flipped it some more and made it feel like a true 70s soul track.

As mentioned before, the track is a certified CLASSIC. But by no means not even a top 20 Kanye track. Its hard to fail with that Main Ingredient sample/loop.

I don't know where it ranks in Kanyes catalogue, but I love this song, and when it was all over the radio in fall/winter 2003, I listened to it all the time, and still play it….Couple freestyles over it, Joe Budden, and at least one more, but I was always partial to the Alicia Keys version.
