Naw, Jay ain't my lane. Doesn't mean I don't recognize his greatest but other "hip hop heads" look at his music as commercial.

Jay-Z's harder songs that demean women in each verse AND IN THE CHORUS are NOT FUN for me. They weren't fun when released, and I won't sit and listen to 3+ minutes of that shyt now.
Appreciation of THE LYRICS of that music (not just the beats and delivery) requires a certain mentality. If you lack the mentality, then you can't get past the lyrics, and you are not gonna have a good time.

that song wasn't even on vol 3, but as most heads know, that shyt was bootlegged to oblivion back in 99 and that's where I first heard it. on that bootleg. and not the wack version with bleek on it.
