:what:

They already started with what they did at the ESPYs

fukk is wrong with you

Actually you can argue they started this recent situation of black athletes speaking out when they did the Trayvon Martin black hoodies and Wade doing the cover of Ebony speaking out on Trayvon.

Before that the only times athletes spoke out recently was on Darfur and that was Nash, Kobe and Deng.

Before that maybe when nick van excel spoke up to defend nash and Dirk after they made the 9/11 comment then management told them to shut up and them white boys zipped they mouths shut. But Nick was still defending them hoes.

Then before that Larry Johnson called out the US on the treatment of black folks when he was with the knicks in late 90s.

Cosign your sentiments.

As fukked up and irrational as an anonymous forum can be...:snoop:

This has to be a real low point for me.

We have individuals, who aren't gods, maturing into a brave intellectual space and speaking out on National issues that are decaying this Society yet people are still able to find a irreconcilable fault with them.

Individuals really need to take a step back from the Hollywoodized version of history.

NO ONE AGREES COMPLETELY. Even in the social/political movements that we hold so high on a pedestal, they disagreed, had different views and were on various locations on the soft line -----hardline spectrum.

If anyone is looking for political leaders that agree w/ them 100% or that do everything with perfect and aligned motivation with all of their followers will be waiting as the titanic hits the fukking iceberg while people argue which glove on which hand at which angle is the RIGHT way to grab the steering wheel to move the ship. :why:

The Black Panther party was broken up because of irreconcilable differences on approach. There was clearly Government infiltration but the point is, the Government KNEW they could attack the weakness of irreconcilable differences.

We're sitting here asking these men and women to do all of this extra shyt...that's cool. But you know what we, as regular Black people could do?

I am not even going to ask for yall to go out and do something public as them. All I'll ask is for yall to consider and try have understanding and be amenable to working towards some goal where there could be common ground instead of seeing one fault/difference that pretty much turns into a coup de grâce for a Black Power movement.

They need to just :whoa: on the useless criticism and do shyt themselves while offering support.

Breh I am gonna keep it real. Some of the folks on the internet are some of the slowest folks on the face on the planet.

These clowns be choosing sides and dumb shyt then be talking about unity. At the end of the day you are not gonna agree with everything a joker says. That is truly some social media driven shyt.

How many times on this very site jokers be like man I looked up to dude now he says this and now I can't roll with him (shyt be some simple shyt at that).

That is one of my biggest beefs with these so called pro black folks on social media, YouTube and the rest now a days. These clowns do more beefing amoungst each other than trying to solve problems and work together.

But then be talking about defeating white supremacy. Fool the reason white supremacy is so powerful and undefeated is because them jokers on that side find a common enemy and a common ground to unify and fight. Hell we can look in America and how Jews, Italians, Irish and wasp gangs all worked together to make illegal money and kick black folks out of jobs and communities in the early 20th century even though they could not stand one another.

But folks did the same shyt in the 60s. You had folks on the NOI side but weren't down with the peaceful civil rights movement and vice versa.

Even malcolm when he left the NOI said to hell with this shyt we got to work together (him and other civil rights leaders) and have common ground. How we gonna fight oppression and can't even be unified.

So Even The People Who Speak Out Are Being shytted On And Criticized Huh?

Dude kats are silly. We could say the same shyt about Kap.

"Well what he said was good but he didn't do enough and go all the way out there like Mahmoud Abdul Rauf who said the flag is a symbol of oppression and murder in the US against people of color all around the world".

Mahmoud also spoke out against unjust wars against people of color around the world (he mentioned desert storm).

Now it would be stupid to say that shyt up top to criticize kap. He isn't Abdul Rauf who pretty much did an Ali, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King in criticizing the US and its military industrial complex.

Same way it is stupid to say well Lebron, Melo and them kats ain't Kap cause they didnt protest like him.

In the end I am happy for these kats to speak out. Whether it be a lot or a little. Whether they protest or just make comments on what is going on.

We have to understand for every out spoken kat like dikk Gregory who was at the front of entertainers in the civil rights movement. There were more quiet kats like Sammie Davis who weren't as out spoken as dikk Gregory but who was raising millions of their own money (in today's terms) and personally funding the civil rights movement behind the scenes.

need a white athlete to speak up at this point the lines already been drawn

Exactly. This a site where folks make Dirk an honorary black person cause he got a black wife and his favorite group is wutang. Then you got Luck who jokers on here call him an honorary black QB as well.

shyt is stupid man. A line has been drawn in the sand as you said and these white athletes need to speak out. Especially when they always want black athletes to speak on some shyt that affects white folks.
