i've spent the last 13 - 14 years trying to figure out what is so great about jay-z... forgive me, he just doesn't make music that impresses me like that... that being said, what is he supposed to do about george zimmerman and the justice system in america?
someone in this thread already pointed it out, but our future is education... us black people need to start birthing more college grads, entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors, accountants, scientists, and politicians... and i'm sorry black men, you need to start growing up to be husbands and fathers.. and black women, you need to start becoming wives... far too many of our youth are being raised by angry single black women, and that's just a recipe for disaster....
if your resolve is not to be more successful and influential in your community then what is a song going to do?.... tray wouldn't have cared about a song no way...
here in detroit we have a street renamed mlk blvd and it is one of the most run down, poverty riddled death trap streets in the city too... would mlk be proud that we dedicated the most run down street in the city, where the lives of the average black person there is worthless, or would he have preferred we skipped the song and street dedications and got educations and took over this wicked oppressive system and changed it?
