Where this "we are the only race who does x" thing come from?

Two sides to this.

Usually comes from people who only have limited exposure to a segment from their OWN group and little exposure to other groups.

Our position across the globe is usually not one of power and dominance, though. So our flaws and shortcomings as individuals are hard to overcome. Person from different socioeconomic group can coast by on behavior that would doom one of us to failure.

I hear this phrase a lot, usually by people who dont realize how much the system is targeted against black people. They view black Americans position in society and believe CAC lies about capitalism where you are the reason why you are poor.

So to they look at other races and wonder how they can come over and prosper and instead of noticing none of those other racial groups have not had the same legal oppression as black people in this country; they also link with friends and family NOT just because they are the same race.

When people say this about other factors it's just because they have low self esteem about being black. 7nderstamdable but stupid as hell

i agree wholeheartedly OP.

overall the source of the problem is cacs and their vigorous self hatred, which is projected into their hatred for us, which the entire planet has internalized to a certain extent.

overall I'm not concerned about what other groups do or don't do. black people project self hatred onto ourselves far too much. other groups don't have the amount of negative external stimuli that we do, therefore we should not compare ourselves to others.
