:francis: And derein lies part of mah beef wit Christians and bringin up da bible & scripture...

Da constant cherry pickin and selective subscription to its "teachings" is what I've got issue wit. And what is da criteria for what is to be taken "wit a grain of salt"?

Folks can't sit dere n proclaim dat book to be da word of God then disregard da shyt in it dat doesn't "fit" their lifestyles without comin off like a false flaggin hypocrite.

You can't have it bof ways.:leostare:

I'm saying there is wisdom in the Bible, but to take everything as fact is :merchant: status. Take the good from it is basically what I am saying. Just because you take facts from Jonah's life and apply it to yours, doesn't mean you have to believe he lived in the belly of a whale for 3 days. I don't have to believe in Allah to think eating halal meat is a wise and healthy decision :manny:

How come i cant see it

Because the face of God can't be seen by man unless it kills him. That's how powerful just looking at him is. You can't just look at God's face. God didn't even let Moses look at his face. He let him see his back, but only because Moses was so faithful to him during the time where Moses was leading the Israelites in the wilderness.
Genesis 33:18-23
18 Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”

19 And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 20 But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”

21 Then the Lord said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. 22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”
Even if God showed himself to everybody today in that way, people would still find a way to discount him. His place is on the Throne in Heaven, so he would go right back up to His Throne and in the next few days somebody would say "He wasn't God." That's how stupid people would be. It's happened similarly throughout the Bible in the stories told there.

Seeing is not believing. Believing without seeing is what God wants.....

John 20:29 (NLT)
Then Jesus told him, "You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me."

And I have zero prollem wit dat kind of approach. Dat can be applied to a lot of things.

It's when dat stern fanga and dat "But it's dat troof! :damn: " shyt comes out is when I :usure::ufdup: dem mufukkas. And it always ends up da same....can't answer a simple question or can't absorb a simple observation without all kinds of irrational emotions & illogical fallicies pourin forth.

Don't wanna get flustered?..keep dat "absolute troof :damn:" shyt to yaself. :manny:

Oh yeah......It's a process. I'm 30 and I use to think God wasn't talking to me like he talked to other people growing up. Now I look back and see the times He was talking to me. It's not just one way He talks. He talks through the Bible, dreams, visions, other Saints, stories, Preachers, Teachers......Our part is to get to know how He communicates. It helps to read about Him in the Book. To know what He says; how He operates. He uses whatever and whoever he wants to communicate. It doesn't just have to be words. Don't expect it to be a normal conversation all of the time. Sometimes he'll answer you with a dream......Sometimes it will feel like he didn't answer us, but most of the time it's because we already know the right answer and have to give in to doing the right thing instead of what we want. He has His own special way of getting your attention. It can be dramatic or subtle.

I dont dream anymore :(

I didn't for a long time either, but it's when you get totally quiet and your mind is empty of constant thought. That's when God can drop a hint. I remember this one dream I had that only took like 10-15 seconds some years ago. I have a friend and I use to always go over his grandmother's house, because that's where he lived. I dreamed one night about seeing her in a casket....and woke up instantly after that. I guess it was a few days or weeks later I found out that she died. So after not seeing her for years, I dreamed about her right before she died like that......:wow: God isn't playing out here. And I know people don't want to particularly dream about stuff like that, but you can't tell me God didn't show me that. I haven't had another dream about somebody dying, but I have had other dreams and situations happen. It just goes to show you what He'll do to get your attention and be like "Hey, I'm here. I know everything. Come to Me for the answer."
