One of the funniest recurring themes on the Coli. It reveals the differences between the factions of dudes/dudettes here.
People who have genuine interest in History, and the googlers/YTer watchers.
The 1st group understands where, and when the different Black music genres developed, and who were the central figures.
House developed in Chicago, and (Bronxite) DJ Frankie Knuckles was the central figure.
Go-Go developed in DC, and Chuck Brown and his band created it.
HipHop developed in the Bronx, and everybody knows who the central figures were. And the 1st generation of MC crews came from the same borough and the same scene.
Anything else is revisionism.
Speaking of music, the creators of the Go-Go Museum are staging fundraisers to keep it in operating.
@Rollie Forbes posted about it.
If other dudes care as much about Music history as you claim, promote and support DC's effort to document the history of the genre that was birthed there.
