Where would Iverson rank among guards if he played today?

This nikka actually had a NICE fukkin J and had actually mastered moving and shooting off screens :ohhh:I thought son was just an ISO guy.

I think he's probably only behind Curry and Westbrook. And if he's got the right players i'd probably take him over Westbrook

If he played today he wouldn't be considered that good...

He came up in wannabe Jordan era...where every star player basically iso'd and thru up 25 shots a game...if you could put up 26 points with 26 shots...you was considered a good player back then...

Iverson pretty much failed due to his style of play...he ran off Larry Hughes, Jerry Stackhouse...

He dragged a crappy 76ers team in the crappy East...and after that he was nothing but a first round or 2nd round knock out...

Went to the Nuggets and he was shipped out after 2 seasons...he actually put up decent stats his first year...probably should've learned how to play with another offensive star earlier in his career instead of ball hogging...

His stats are bad...

He played 42 mins a game to put up the numbers he got...while guys like Curry put up the same numbers in 32 mins, guys like Lillard putting up the same numbers in 36 mins...

AI was the epitome of a volume scorer. Guys like Lillard, Curry, Harden blow him out of the water.

Allen Iverson is more of a cultural icon than a good basketball player...favorite player of all time...one of the most talented players to ever play...but a good basketball player?

Nah...

Chauncey Billups was a better player than Iverson....

Hmm...

Chauncey Billups kicked Allen Iverson's ass in the East...

Went West, replaced Iverson and took the Nuggets further than Iverson did...

Chauncey Billups actually led his teams past the 1st and 2nd round consistently...

Iverson didn't...Iverson was a career loser and it was all his fault because he didn't know how to play with others...

Man could've had Larry Hughes, Jerry Stackhouse...

You know you are a shytty team player when your management is getting lottery picks and trading them for motherfukkers like Toni Kukoc cause they know you can't play with anybody with any sort of offensive talent..

Actually the only success AI ever had was in 2000-2001...when he was allowed to just throw up shots

I would take Billups over Iverson...he was 10x smarter than AI was, a way better shooter than AI was, and the man could lead a team....

Billups actually was the best point guard in the early 2000s

A consistent highly efficient 18 pt scorer that could guard 1 thru 2, shoot the three and didn't fukk shyt up...and most importantly...won shyt...

Honestly Billups is probably a better team fit in almost every situation. That’s not a shot at AI, I love him but if I was building a team and actually wanted to win games I probably take Billups :yeshrug:

Doesn’t mean he was more talented than AI....because that’s definitely not the case.

If AI and Billups played today not a single GM would take Billups over AI. AI never had a system that was tailored made to his strengths. Put him with a guy like D’antoni where he coulda utilized his passing, scoring and shooting and AI would have been a fukking monster.

Shame people actually degrade AI by even mentioning him in the same breath as a guy like Billups. All because of that that trade...shyt couldn’t have worked out worse for AI...on one hand the West was weaker and the Nuggets bigs were actually healthy when Billups got there. And in Detroit the coach was ass and the team was over the hill. But AI gets all the blame and Billups gets all the praise. To the point where u got nikkas saying that Billups is actually better.

I am convinced y’all nikkas crazy and straight up don’t know basketball at all or just young and dumb.

It would be

Curry
Westbrook/Iverson/Harden (if u consider him a pg)

And then everybody else. Breh said Billips better than AI! In what world? No player my not even Curry is blowing Iverson out of the water let alone Lillard :dahell:
