The thing is -- I usually don't give a shyt either way if a player juices or not.. but in A-Rod's case, it seems like his accolades were almost entirely dependent on that sauce. A dude like Bonds was such an amazing natural talent well before he started shooting up. ARod ain't shyt without the drugs so I'd have to put a lot of cats ahead of him.

Depending on how much PEDs he's used, I'd have to SERIOUSLY reconsider.

But strictly off his numbers, he's top 20 -- maybe 10 -- DOA.

Unfortunately, I think I'd drop him a great deal for his repeated PED use ... but I'm still waiting to see how all this goes.

For anybody to assume his numbers were all dependent of steroids and all is stupid. The dude is still one of the most talented players in history & people will forget that until he's long gone and others gotta go to analytics to figure shyt out.

How is that stupid? As soon as he supposedly stopped, his numbers plummeted.

Southern California…
A-ROID in seattle was putting up a average of 36 Hr's and over 120 rbi's and if he could have stayed clean and be more the ken griffey type instead of trying to hype his image, kissing his self he would have easily over his 18 years have around 700 homeruns and over 2200 RBI's..

I would have easily put him up with bonds and mays, dimaggio

unlike jeter a-roid wants to win the fans heart and be some type of gawd instead of just playing the game.

but on the bright side for him he got paid by the dumb yankees brass.. biggest robbery since deniro in heat

How do we even know exactly when he began? Was it when he got to Texas? Because he got the biggest contract in sports history on his way to Texas...when he was already on his way to becoming arguably the greatest baseball player ever. That's my point bruh.

what he admitted to goes as far back as 2001, if you want to take his word for it.

He's 38 years old, most players become mediocre in their late 30's. Hell he was a very good player well into his 30's, and he was still an above average player last year. People are really underrating A-Rod.
so you're just gonna attribute his shytty numbers post-2008 (getting caught) to nothing but age?

:what:

He had a .900 OPS in '09, .800+ OPS in '10-11, and was a 2 WAR player last year. I don't know what you mean by "shytty"?
don't play dumb now. His numbers went down in every category (avg, HRs, RBI, etc). Oh he was above .800 after he got caught? :heh: .. we're talking about a guy that was well above .900 and even 1.000 for like 10 years straight before he got caught.

Don't be dense, yes his numbers went down, that's what happens when you get older. YET ... compared to the average player, he was still above-average.
