Yeezus. One of the most infuriating moments for me as a fan of the genre was playing that album for the first time. I remember listening to it in disbelief. The album got leaked so for the first 3 tracks I'm thinking this release must be a joke or some unfinished bullshyt. Then when it set in that this was a real album he had the nerve to release I wanted to punch him in the face. How the fukk you go from MBDTF to this? What made it worse is everyone around me online and irl was hyping this shyt up like it was hot, momentarily making me question my own taste. Then I snapped back into reality like nah, this shyt is straight trash. People to this day talk about Yeezus in high regard and I stopped trusting some friends musical taste after they were praising Yeezus the whole month. I couldn't believe all the dikkriding it made me sick. TLOP didn't totally help but it was way better and got me back on course somewhat.
