Yeezus kinda lost me but he won me back with TLOP. As a whole its not as great as his others but it has great songs individually

However, I used to be a bigger fan, but his affiliation with the Kardashains turned me off a bit

Man, I rock with 808's so heavy I don't understand how cats don't. When it first dropped I fukked with it, then when I went through a crazy ass breakup, shyt became my soundtrack for a solid month, had to jump outta that emo mode and jump back into some p*ssy though :mjlol: it was just a super relatable album that first month and got me through it, so I will forever fukk with it.

The Opposite Of Elliott Wilson's Mohawk
MDBTF

Up until that album, he could do no wrong to me. Even though, I didn't like his "singing" on 808's, I still credit that album for sonically influencing mainstream rap. Without that album, So Far Gone wouldn't exist.
He lost me on that shyt too. Sounded like he tried to cover his weak raps with blatant over the top overproduction and "concepts". I love 808s and I found Graduation to be a really nice evolution of his old sound, with a further tightening up of his flow. MBDTF was a lyrical regression

Never, it's constant improvement in some way until Yeezus (goat album) and TLOP is good enough with some advancements though it doesn't compare to his rest sans Grad imo.

I agree that TLOP is probably his weakest album (though it's not my least favorite and I think Grad gives it a run for that).
But does it really only take one album to lose you as a fan?
That's like me dropping Jay after bp2 and KC.

Nah every artist or musician is allowed to have at least one meh album imo. No one has a flawless discography.

Not even Radiohead.

I just noticed he's never put his face on an album cover.

I was half way out the door on Graduation. 808 and Heartbreaks slammed that shyt shut for me. I heard the single and said the fukk is this shyt. I stop fukkin with Kanye ever since and never played any of his new shyt. except for the Good Fridays and CRS material.

This is exactly how I feel. A lot of people look at MBDTF as a masterpiece but it's just grandiose and self indulgent to me. A lot of bells and whistles but not a lot of substantial lyrical content.
