it was just a super relatable album that first month and got me through it, so I will forever fukk with it.He lost me on that shyt too. Sounded like he tried to cover his weak raps with blatant over the top overproduction and "concepts". I love 808s and I found Graduation to be a really nice evolution of his old sound, with a further tightening up of his flow. MBDTF was a lyrical regressionMDBTF
Up until that album, he could do no wrong to me. Even though, I didn't like his "singing" on 808's, I still credit that album for sonically influencing mainstream rap. Without that album, So Far Gone wouldn't exist.
Never, it's constant improvement in some way until Yeezus (goat album) and TLOP is good enough with some advancements though it doesn't compare to his rest sans Grad imo.
I agree that TLOP is probably his weakest album (though it's not my least favorite and I think Grad gives it a run for that).
But does it really only take one album to lose you as a fan?
That's like me dropping Jay after bp2 and KC.
