Hmm, I think the high majority of both men and women are going to have good-looking as one of their picks. Don't underestimate a women's want of having her guts blown out by a good looking dude....:usure: Especially these modern, post-feminist women that seem more likely than ever to rebel against traditional positive qualities in mates....

Hmm, well, I'd have to ask what you think is the difference between "book smarts" and "common sense" is.... I often hear the distinction made but I personally don't think it's black and white like that.

To try and answer...I guess there are certainly different forms of "intelligence". I suppose that for me, at least in regards to "intelligent spouse"...I just mean general "sharpness" or "brightness". Someone that can write a letter that doesn't have grammatical or spelling errors. Someone that seems knowledgeable about different cultures and art. Or just someone that can use their smarts to better themselves or other people in some way. That sort of thing. Hillary Banks is like, my ideal version of a "Gorgeous, but dumb as rocks" girl.... (But she *was* relatively stable until the Trevor incident).

I suppose that a good distinction can be found in Michael Scott's two main love interest on The Office.

Put the "good looking" category aside for a moment (I don't find either of them particularly noteworthy although Jan sometimes has her moments). Jan was intelligent....but completely emotionally unstable. She was a fukking wreck for a large portion of the show's run, even though she was typically portrayed as "smart" (At least as smart as an Office character could be). Holly on the other hand....about as dumb as Michael...but seemed relatively stable and mature....:wow:

I think the difference is that "Book Smarts" is very educated with college, school, degrees and all of that. While "Common Sense" is just being able to think for yourself. You can have book smarts and have no real world knowledge I think, I'd take a chick that had common sense over anything. If you mean intelligence as in common sense I'd take Intelligence and Good Looking.

Once u get your world flipped by an unstable woman. Suddenly looks dont matter so much.

Some of these overlap tho. Moat unstable people are very intelligent, just not emotionally intelligent.

When you leave out intelligence makes me wonder if the guy would then be an absolute moron :patrice:

Emotional stability is a must, if you can't control your emotions you are a volatile mess, can't be trusted and will destroy everything as was already mentioned

Good looks neither here nor there. You spend enough time with someone you can hold a conversation with and you will become attracted (as long as you don't find them repulsive)

Women wanting to be attracted to their significant others has nothing to do feminism but basic human attraction. Why should you get to look at someone that's attractive amd not she? People need to be attracted one another to want to be together sexually...would you want ypur gilgirl tp be repulsed by you?

Emotionally stable & intelligent.

Looks fade. 95% of the broads I went to HS with fell the fukk off...And I'm only 31.

Having peace of mind means way more to me than having a bad bytch.

I know everyone wants it all...and I also know that the three can be and often are connected...lastly I know there there are more than three traits...but no semantics for this thread. Out of the three listed in the triangle, pick the two you find to be the most desirable.

Me personally...I'd have to go with....Good Looking & Emotionally Stable. If she's dumb as bricks so be it....:manny:
Is the choice you don't pick going to be the opposite trait in her?
If she's not intelligent, is she stupid or just average?
If she's not good looking, is she ugly or just average looking?
If she's not emotionally stable, is she a wreck or just your average emotional girl?
:patrice: I need clarification before I can make my decision

Emotional stability is highly underrated and is what makes a relationship.

But I do like my nikkas a little possessive... :lupe:

Tough call...

Emotionally Stable and Intelligent = She probably looks :weirdo:

Intelligent and Good looking = Crazy

Emotionally Stable and Good Looking = Bird Brain

Would be pretty tempted to choose my hand over any of these for a long-term relationship. :sadcam:
