per 36 mins

Kobe - 26.6 PPG, 4.7 RPG, 4.8 APG on 56.4 TS%

Wade - 24.6 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 5.0 APG on 59.3 TS%

look pretty equivalent to me. plus Kobe didn't have the benefit of a million ghost fouls to bump up that scoring efficiency (9.4 fts per 36 mins vs. 7.5 fts per 36 mins).
If Kobe could replicate what Wade did in the Conference Finals, he would have 6 rings

LMAO @ per 36 minutes

Look Wade shot 65% in the conference finals against the pistons, then took over the nba finals. Kobe tortured dahntay jones in the WCF and trash bag courtney lee. :russ:

Clearly Dirk. Lebron doesn't rank, the others actually played great teams.

Kobe has always performed at his best in the WCF. I'll put his 01, 08, 09 and 10 WCF performances against anything Wade has ever done.

That same Mavs team Wade played against in 06 Kobe averaged 40 plus against and outscored them 62-61 in 3 quarters. Don't act too excited.

Gotta be 2000 Shaq. He was a man possessed that year. 2001 Shaq has to get dropped a notch because he and Kobe were basically equals throughout that run.

Shaq: 30/15/3/2.5 and Kobe: 29/7/6/1.5.

I don't think we'll ever see a two-headed monster like that again.

My runner-up would be Dirk for his 2011 run. One for the ages.

We kind of did though, Durant and Westbrook put up some monster playoffs numbers this year.

30/9/4/1/1 for Durant
28/8/7/2 for Westbrook

They just don't have the complimentary players around them (or the coaching)

Fair point. Those two didn't play as well off each other as Kobe and Shaq did in '01 though. I should have phrased it better. They were perfect compliments that season, whereas Durant and Westbrook have a "my turn, your turn" dynamic.

That's coaching though, look at how much LeBron and Wade improved playing off one another, with the right coach :youngsabo: and KD could turn into a much more cohesive duo than they are now.

Diesel for me. If you told me after the 2001 finals that he'Il end up with only 4 rings, I wouldnt have believed it. 7 or 8 looked more like it. He was just scary on the court and he could pass out of a double team. Pity that he couldn't take care of his fitness. If he isnt the most dominant player in the last 20 yrs he is the closest. Imagine Diesel with a Lebron or Ray Allen work ethic, thats the GOAT right there.
