I also said you're a gay unit stan and clearly I'm rightSo you concluded from my sig I'm a Yayo stan... God bless whoever raised you, such great conclusions.. be a preacher brehhh... fakkit
Stoute was important in many artist careers. Kinda wish NaS would've stuck with himPersonally, I feel Hov is only as good as Steve Stoute. He taught Jay supreme branding of his career
I also said you're a gay unit stan and clearly I'm right
I caught you sucking 50's dikk in that if nas died thread. Don't make me up it
And that still doesn't explained why you lied. You said I was acting like his story wasn't shyt when he made my list and I gave reasons why I included him. And when I asked you about it,you dodged the question![]()
Master P's rise was meteoric. It was the classic example of grind over talent. they say to be an expert in your field you'd have done 10,000 hours, Business wise he did that. Music wise dude and his NL crew must have managed 10 hours!!!!!!!!
So aside from MP my absolute favourite is Suge Knights. dude is gangsta to the end because I'd buy his autobiography in many forms to read abt the DR era. Dude walked it how he talked it. There'll never be another dominating b?ack figure in music ever again. He had the whole industry shook and for that he will always be my no.1
Ill finish this later maybe.. leaving work
so If I wanted to hear a story or wanted to see a great story, its the rise of Def Jam. Not no street nyggas who made a label and got rich quick. No Limit aint even in existence now.
Stick to who has the best story and you'll see my point. thats all Im saying
This music (mainstream wise) was only 5, 6 years old. Russell had them selling out arenas by 86 or 87 man..lol
Not Sugarhill. They were done as a label by then
these backhanded compliments are bullchit.
lol @ no limit being grind over talent when they produced more classic music than most of your favorite rappers & crews.
newsflash: no limit had no real machine behind them. THEIR SUCCESS WAS MOSTLY BASED OFF THE POPULARITY OF THEIR MUSIC. if you personally didn't bang wit they music, that's wassup, but leave that chit there.
dudes need to stop repeating what the muhfukkin white folks say on the TV.
lol. looks like we cut out at the same dam time.
whos to say def jam would still be in existence if they didn't sell it to? that's another thing that youre not understanding.
secondly, youre comparing 2 different types of labels. no limit is a crew-type label. and they outlasted dam near all of the labels of similar templates.
well, i'd like to think tha run dmc is responsible for a lot of that. not taking anything away from Russell, but why couldn't he sell out arenas with any of the acts that he managed before them? Russell was around during some of the sugar hill/enjoy/etc era. why couldn't he sell out arenas with kurtis blow? kurtis was HUGE.
and again, im not even doing the 'sugar hill vs def jam' thing. im just saying that def jam didn't lay the blueprint for most of the stuff that yall are giving them credit for. there were numerous successful rap labels before them.
My point still is, I'd rather hear about everything it took to build Def Jam vs hearing about How P used paper bag money and UNNNNNNNNN to be hot. He just came at the right time in the South. In other words, Cool Story P.. but eh..
this is where we stop talking.
you have no clue what youre talking about at this point.
