When you dunk on Shaq you know yo expectations were high

Coleman had all the tools to become the great one, for example Kemp's athleticism was going to fade away and make him less of a dangerous player, while Coleman was way more skilled and could have been still a dangerous player even after his prime, he def one of the biggest underachievers of all time.

Also ROY TARPLEY

was supposed to be the great PF in the league with barkley and malone, but ended up snorting coke.

Don't know why people are saying McGrady when he had back problems that physically limited what he could do...

Also don't see how the answers are not Derrick Coleman and Rasheed Wallace...

Both of these dude had all time great talent but pretty much coasted their entire careers doing just enough to get that next big contract...

For my money their has never been anything like and I doubt their will ever be anything like when Sheed actually played up to his potential and in one single game he would...

Bury a few 15 footers...

Bury a few turn around 18 footers...

Drain a few three's...

Destroy some dude on the low block...

Score at ease against double and triple teams...

Smash a few and one dunks on someone head...

You see what Anthony Davis is doing now...

That is what a focused sheed used to do and he could be unbelievably wet from 3

'Sheed was still instrumental in winning a chip and made all-star teams. And (despite his reputation as a walking Technical) he beasted back in his Portland Trailblazer days when they would be perennial contenders in the Western Conference.

The hell are you smoking?

Sheed was a great player but he could have retired as an all time great...like...their is a Tim Duncan class...and the only player in that class is Duncan...

There could have been a sheed class...and the only player in it would be Sheed...

There is a big difference between that and "beasting for the portland trailblazers"

OK, but he clearly wasn't the biggest waste of talent either. Yes he underachieved, given his level of talent. But a chip, four ASGs and multiple conference finals appearances isn't bad. And his numbers didn't start dipping until after he joined the Pistons (where he won). Sheed has plenty to show for his career despite the fact that he didn't maximize his potential.

If you've been to multiple ASGs and were a main player on both sides of the ball for a championship-winning team, there's no way anybody can call you the biggest waste of talent ever.

Other players, some just as talented if not more, have wasted more of their talent than Sheed wasted his.

You know, the guy coming out of college that everyone projected to be a hall of famer or at least a 10x all star but just became an after thought. I have one name at the tip of my tongue.

Lamar-Odom-Not-In-Rehab-600x450.jpg

Damn sad. He had all of NY and the East Coast like :blessed: coming out of URI.
I hear you but at least Lamar was a KEY CONTRIBUTOR on a few contending teams and won a championship (i think) with the Lakers. I would say he reached about 65% of his potential
