Save your bs for someone else. Dude got 3 mvps and should have two other ones. Its no pressure on him. Its never been any pressure on him.
He's won a title. He's stamped. Why are y'all speaking as if he hasn't proven shyt in the postseason? Does Denver's current situation where they've got an imbalanced roster and just fired their coach and GM really warrant y'all playing these silly ass games?

If you want to be that literal about it, then every star is under pressure.

But for the purposes of this thread, which the large majority in here can seemingly adhere to, Jokic doesn't have the same amount of pressure as stars who're on higher seeds and haven't won a championship. I thought that would be fairly obvious to anyone not trying to push some dumbass agenda.

In an unprecedented move, Denver just fired their head coach and GM (with only a couple games remaining in the season); a #2 option who's been injured and been a shell of his former self when he's managed to get on the floor; relying on a 36-year-old guard as an integral piece whose volatile game can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory; all with one of the most imbalanced rosters in the playoff picture.

But hey, let's just ignore that so we can denigrate him because of some keyboard militant bullshyt.

:hubie:
:mjlol: Man what?

Stop it, Jokic ain't even getting the amount of hate others have gotten. Me saying as a 3xMVP he is entering the phase where he should win more got me being a keyboard militant yeah ok. You love dude I get it, but again if others have gotten flack for losing whether right or wrong then Jokic is no different.

I will say this, just because you won a ring. Doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be constant pressure on you to win another. And im not talking bron or steph.

Im talking giannis and joker, people started putting giannis in top 20 and it cooled off fast because of constant playoff failures. People are now putting joker top 20, top 5 center and he’s heading in the same trajectory as Giannis with playoff success.

Simple: if OKC loses, what's everyone gonna ask for? A "real" 2nd option. Well, Jalen's about to get a max deal this summer, but if they come up short and he's a big reason why, then any team that has that better 2nd option will just ask for him in a return. Shai has more pressure because he'll win MVP and OKC's the best team and so on, but I don't think anyone believes Shai's gonna have crappy games.

Just cuz you're the 2nd or 3rd guy doesn't mean you're immune from pressure. If anything you become the expendable piece that everyone will want moved for the piece that might fix the team.

Now that you mention it, Jarrett Allen should be on the list too. Why? Whenever he gets into the playoffs, he turns into a bytch. Cleveland can't win it all if he doesn't face his postseason demons. He can't wuss out.
Hmmm I see what you’re saying but with this logic how does Jalen and the likes in terms of 2nd and 3rd options/key players not be much higher and dominate your list? Because they are more likely to be inconsistent and underperform in the playoffs just as most do in nba history in comparison to first options, have less leeway as they are not the cornerstone to a franchise, and have a higher probability of being x-factors in playoffs series and so because of this they are more likely to get traded, tank their value harder, and tank their earning potential harder and negotiations making them more expendable as you said. Matter of fact because of this I'm changing my answer to jdub because he has to show out these playoffs.

Facts, not to mention Jokic won his ring in the weakest west in a while and the bucks caught a break with the nets.

If Luka get's worked like he did in the finals leading to a Lakers loss then rightly or wrongly the narrative gonna start to look nasty from the pro-Nico camp and the insecure Bron stans who still want it to be the old man's team.

If zest monster KAT returns for the playoffs then them Knicks fans probably gonna chase him out of the city.

There's pressure on all stars to win in the playoffs.

That goes without saying.

But I fail to see why anyone would put Jokic and Giannis in the conversation as it relates to this thread of having the most pressure. Neither of them have ideal team setups, and both will be on teams without homecourt advantage* in the postseason..

Shai, Dub & Chet for the reasons already stated... Yeah, my team gotta get it done this year.

Chet gets a pass because he was injured a lot this season and played all 82 games last season, but he came up small offensively in the playoffs last season vs Dallas... Also, Zubac and the guy we traded away to Houston, Alperen Sengun, has been, low key, more consistent than Chet.

Dub has to show up in the playoffs. We understand that he does a lot of the defensive dirty work, but he needs to show up offensively as well. It's a nice luxury to have, but Isiah Joe, Lu Dort and Aaron Wiggins is saving basketball and OKC with 30 and 40 point eruptions has bailed Dub out; Wiggins for a stretch of the season outplayed him.

I don't want Dub to be treated like Scottie Pippen, but if he doesn't start delivering on the big stage, he will be treated worse.... and justification for a max deal can't be made.

If Ivica Zubac leads the Clippers to a championship, he skyrockets into the top 115 goat debate. Maybe top 105 :hubie:

:hubie: :lolbron:

But yea, i wouldn't lie, there are times watchin y'all play where i swear Dort and Hartenstein are more valuable than Jalen and (more so) Chet.

As in, a core of Shai/Hartenstein/Dort, wtih a superstar wing (trade JDubb but keep Chet) or a superstar big (trade Chet but keep JDubb), and it's over for the league.

You guys are bit better off but still entering the same situation the Bucks and Nuggets were in... superstar player with questionable 2nd and 3rd options... i've said that MIL winning was the best and worst thing to happen to Giannis because altho it certified him as a "winner" it also prompted MIL to overpay Khris. Same thing happened to Jokic and DEN, with Murray (after already locking in MPJjr). All of a sudden they can only keep 1 of the 3 or 4 guys (KCP, Brown, Gordon, etc) that covered up the deficiencies.
