i had a ps4 and honestly, a lot of the players on ps4 besides the pros are garbage. it’s easier to find a tight group to play games with on xbox and a lot of the xbox community are die hard gamers, as oppposed to ps4 is a lot of casuals.

I don't get why this thread has descended into chaos.

I have a day job and can afford both consoles.

I am 100% def getting a Nintendo Switch but the second console was a toss up between PS4 Pro and X1X.

From the valid points made by all of you I have decided to wait until after the Sony E3 expo to either get a PS4 Pro at the same time as the Switch in the next two weeks or get the rumoured PS4 Pro 2.0/Slim with native 4K later this year.

I can't justify having all three consoles. I am not buying both consoles just to play FIFA or any AAA multiplatform game when I stated previously that for these type of games I will bootleg on PC via the FitGirl Repack scene releases that are single player orientated and don't need online. I'll be fine with FIFA 18/19 and Skreet Fighter at 1440p if that is the case on a 4K TV after 10 minutes the gimmick of high resolution wears off anyway.

I won't get an X1X because my PC that I built in 2012 has been able to natively play all of my games at 4K for free which is why I haven't needed a new current gen console but EA Origin and Steam's multiplayer has steadily gotten worse since then and so it's time to move on. The lack of easily accessible basic features like VOIP, text messages, seeing what friends are online and the choppy network in general is the straw that broke Jay-Z's back. It's simple enough -- yes, but not intuitive like it is on consoles.

PS4 Pro seems like the better option with slightly less power but it is not something you'll care about after the novelty wears off in 30 minutes of gameplay.

The main thing was the online community and since they are on par or there about the PS4 has better exclusives that appeal to me personally.

I understand your point but at the moment, I can't justify spending that much just to play FIFA and miss out on playing Skreet Fighter V.

If X1X gets cheaper at the end of the year I'll cop one but as it is now I'll just get a Switch and a PS4 Pro in the next two weeks after E3.

The multiplatform games on X1X I already bootleg from http://fitgirl-repacks.site/ and so I would really only be playing FIFA, MKX and Skreet Fighter V on it because I bootleg all of the other games. I only pay for games that need online that I enjoy.

For example games like Beyond Good & Evil II and Anthem are announced for Steam as well as PS4 and Xbox and since they are single player experiences hence why I can bootleg them on PC.

I still wanna play Spider-Mayn which is exclusive to PS4 and Red Dead: Redemption 2 which is exclusive to consoles so looking at it this way it wouldn't make sense *FOR ME to have a PS4 Pro in addition to an X1X when I have Steam to bootleg those multiplatform releases for free and Sony for the few exclusives that appeal to me.

Playing at 1440p isn't really what matters the most because if the devs haven't taken advantage of the graphics from the power of the console then you won't get true 4K. Look at Nintendo, their games look just as good as PS4 in terms of graphics (no resolution) and are more enjoyable. So for me it's the experience more so than the TV's resolution to be fair.

Back to the point I only play FIFA, CoD/Battlefield, Skreet Fighter and Mortal Kombat online and from all of your opinions I think the PS4 Pro will work for me.

I really need FIFA 18, Skreet Fighter V and Mortal Kombat X and CoD just to past time as it's not really fun anymore with all of the jetpacks and flying around bullshyt like Halo .

I was just gonna get a PS4 Pro and Switch after E3 because I have Steam already and everything multiplatform looks just as good on my hardware as it would on console it's just online is shyt and AAA games never get fixed for months. I bought FIFA 18 in February and by the beginning of March the game stopped working. EA in general are terrible for PC, then there's SFV and MKX and it takes forever to find a bout online. I'm not waiting 3-5 minutes for one fight dammit.

If your main issue is finding online matches in games then ps4 has more than twice the user base.

If you want the best possible resolution on console and street fighter isn't a big deal then the X1X got your back.

If resolution isn't a big deal then there's no reason to own a 1X seeing as ps4 gets all the multiplats, has more games, and has twice as many people potentially playing those games.

I personally buy the games that I enjoy.

I am not going to buy every single games under the Sun like a 12 year old as they are released at £30-£40 a pop and is simply way too much money to go towards my gaming habit for the amount of games that I play a year. I'd literally be struggling if I brought every new updated console and game that I liked.

If it is a game that I have completed after bootlegging it I will buy it in a sale so the dev at least can get apart of their money back. This is where CDKeys and Humble Bundle comes in.

Also, this isn't 2007 and you can't just turn a bootlegged game on and go online as you'll instantly get flagged and banned, which is why cracked games have a firewall block inbuilt to stop it connecting to the servers.

Those "PC master race dudes" are most likely children. Once the novelty of the resolution wears off after 20-30 minutes everyone is still playing the same game and getting the same experiences. That 4K 60fps stuff is nothing but a marketing gimmick to make them spend £600+ on a new GPU that is marginally if any better than the last. My mid-tier GPU that cost me £200 in 2012 can still play every AAA game released today and look as good as a PS4/X1X.
