The pats used to destroy the Steelers defense on a regular basis with Troy back there defending but it was different with the Raven’s and Ed reed

True. Reed was better in coverage, but the Ravens also had better cornerbacks consistently. dikk LeBeau seemed to not emphasize good coverage CBs as much as the Ravens did.

Ed Reed was considered more of a priority for opposing offenses/QBs while playing on the same team as Ray Lewis.

Do with this what you will.
no he wasnt. Offenses had to gameplan for Siragusa up the middle and later Suggs on the edge, Then they had to Gameplan for Lewis then they had to gameplan for McCallister and Reed the beauty of the Ravens was opposing offenses had to gameplanned for all levels. Ed is a legend though no doubt

I definitely remember the Eagles secondary from the early 2000's.

Him Troy Vincent and Bobby Taylor were pro bowlers.
Ok. I remember them too. Where was his Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs and Haloti Ngata?? Where was his Aaron Smith, Casey Hampton, James Farrior, Joey Porter then James Harrison?? BDawk had some good DBacks with him, but his front seven did not compare to Baltimores or Pisttsburghs.

Hell yeah. Injuries cut his career very short but he was a damn beast at his height.

He was such a difference maker. The 06’ Colts had the worst run defense in the NFL without him. The Jacksonville game was the most inept performance of run defense I’ve ever seen in an NFL game. Here are the game stats.

When Sanders came back, the Colts defense improved dramatically, and they were able to win the SB. He won DPOY the next season, but his body fell apart.
