Gotta go with the state with the richest people. Obviously we ain’t including which state has the most military present since the military would not be included.

1. California- 189 billionaires
2. NY- 126 billionaires
3. Florida- 70 billionaires

Money will be able to purchase tanks, jets, weapons, food, etc.

Gotta go with Cali.

Hawaii. They are the most isolated, which is a huge advantage. You can’t pull up on them without them seeing you coming. They have a natural barrier with the sea. They got way less numbers, but the hardest to beat with good planning
Almost everything you said works against Hawaii as well. They’d align with the western forces or get overtaken after being cut off from resources.

If munitions aren’t manufactured locally, they can’t buy anything in this scenario.

Cali could use all those naval personnel and just form a blockade around Hawaii. Trap them and wait them out.

Only issue is the risk of leaving Cali weaker from outside invaders. Can't see Oregon, Nevada, Arizona or Washington doing much unless they teamed up...but even then.

I'd leave Hawaii alone. Not worth fighting them until the end. Hawaii can't really attack anyone so it's better to just ignore them until you have to fight.

they like the ravens in the mid 00s
great defense, but wheres the offense?

but i think whoever wins on the mainland would try to make a deal with them

Im just saying, the fact that they are isolated with an ocean as a barrier makes away any element of surprise which is a huge advantage. Being isolated from the everyone with an ocean between us is part of the reason United States has military advantage against the rest of the world. Hawaii does have small numbers though, so that is a disadvantage

Very true. If Cali is smart, they team up with Hawaii right away.

The Pacific Northwest. Washington State and Oregon together. Theyre situated around huge mountain ranges. Easy to defend. You can’t get to Seattle or Portland without crossing water or crossing mountains. Rains constantly which would frustrate invading armies. Great for farming though. A lot of military bases too. The Hunger Games author picked Colorado for the likely capital of a new country but I’d have them #2 to the Northwest. They’re also next to a bunch of low populated states like Idaho, Wyoming, Montana which they’d easily take over. Would provide more food, more resources and an extra buffer between the interior home base and since those states are mostly empty land they’d see any invasion attempt miles before you got to them. They’d probably end up linking with Colorado and Utah too anyway looking at the map. Then it’s on from there.

- Edit : I forgot Washington State is #2 for tech companies behind Silicon Valley. Microsoft and Amazon both run the country’s cloud infrastructure :banderas:

All the U.S. states say "fukk it" and decide to split up. From there, everyone decides to go to war with each other.

Who wins? Which states team up together? No foreign countries get involved.

California and Texas are the favorites since both are in the Top 10 of GLOBAL GDP. They've got money, lots of military personnel and can sustain themselves based on what they produce.

Alaska is well armed but has a tiny population and is more than 2x the size of Texas. Like trying to defend against the KC Chiefs offense with 2 players on D.

My guess is that TX and Cali would try to annex their neighbors quickly. New York will try the same thing but have a MUCH harder time dealing with their neighbors.

How does your state survive the Royal Rumble?

1. Nothing on the coasts wins without allies. With no way to get supplies in the coasts would get hit HARD by a lack of foodstuffs and manufacturing from the midwest and south. Remember what California and TX produce mostly doesn't hold as much value in a total war.
2. Depending on how long the fight goes on, water becomes important. If CA loses access to fresh water they all die. If im fighting CA...that's the first thing I would do.
3. The North East and Rust Belt might join forces. Mostly because trying to fight people like the Michigan Militia, in the winter is a mistake.
4. TX is one of the ONLY states that actually has enough of just about everything to be self-sustaining. However, its so BIG that deploying troops would take so long that a small insurgent group could take say, Houston with little resistance if it came from within.
5. The south would actually be REALLY hard to fight because of the sheer weirdness of the terrain. Its mountains and swamps and rivers and woods. And if you were the south that's where you would fight.

In the end it actually would be who gets supplies from Canada or other countries and who controls the massive food source in the middle of the country. I'd put my money on TX or the NE if the Industrial Midwest joined them. I think both CA and the South would cannibalize themselves. Most black people in the south wouldn't fight for "the South" and CA is more politically divided than people think it is.
