With the masses, Color counts. That's why the manager of New Edition went on to Manage New Kids in the Block. That's why eminem sells millions while black artists of a simiar talent level dont. That's why top-tier porn stars stay away from black porn stars. The porn stars themselves aren't racist; they just know that it's bad for business.
All those "bubbas" in the south and "bros" in the NE aren't trying to see minorities in lead roles in games, moves or anything. Guess what? Bubbas and Bros, young and old, have a major impact on the major media markets. Mass Appeal means appealing to them as well. It is just reality. Id rather Deal with it and rake-in Money instead of complaining about it and being broke.

and smell the coffee here. There was a major online backlash to TJ in GTA:SA. PC modders even made an alternative white TJ. The PC market is dominated by those Mid-west/southern Bubba-types.
