Giving the #1 pick to the #9 team is supposed to make the rest of the league more competitive? What about the 6-8 teams that would rather have a #1 pick than get their doors blown off in the 1st round? No matter how you set it up, there will be situations where teams have incentive to lose games.

Ya'll nikkas stay mad that Philly is potentially getting a top pick :heh:

Ya'll obviously hating on something

People should cheer teams intentionally sucking AND being rewarded for it? :what: I understand you as a Philly fan cheering for it and I understand the team doing what they are doing under these ass backwards rules. My issue is with the system that allows them to do what they are doing while punishing teams that are actually trying. I dont' have a problem with Philly as much as I have an issue with what they represent. :yeshrug:

Teams would still have to provide effort for most of the season though. I'd rather teams play hard for most of the season and tank the last couple weeks then have teams just say "fukk it" in November.

Realistically, a lot of those teams we are talking about are already eliminated from the 9th spot in November :manny:

Due to decisions they made in June and July. You will always have bad teams, that's unavoidable. However to have teams either actively trying to be bad and or :manny: about being bad because they know there's a prize waiting for them is another story. The Suns were supposed to be complete shyt this year however they made excellent moves all around and what's their reward for a 45-50 win season? A low lottery pick. Meanwhile teams like Philly and Boston and Milwaukee have either actively tried to be bad or have just said "fukk it" and their reward? Top 5 picks. That's not a good look for the league unless of course they want half of their teams not to try.

They didn't trade - they gave away good NBA contributors for absolutely nothing. And they have been sitting MCW for stretches of time for nothing.

If you were the 76ers gm tell me how you would of put a winning team on the court this year as well set your squad up for the future? Because I don't see anything wrong with how they are building and I think coach brown is doing a good job with the squad.

I would say the Bucks.

They been a treadmill team for years. Their Gm never wanted to tank all those years and always got free agents to make them a middle of the pack team. They have been an 8th and 9th seed for like 3-4 years in a row now. They tried to do the same thing this year and got a bunch of injuries. So they didnt go into the year trying to tank :manny:

But as far as tanking in the nba. I dont see any system where you can fix it

That's the problem right there. The current set-up basically makes these things mutually exclusive. Like I said, I get why the Sixers are doing what they are doing I just wish that teams who were doing it the right way like PHX were the ones getting the reward.

Sorry breh but losing 20 in a row by a double digit avg. is not a good job no matter how you try to spin that shyt. :heh:

It's simple...reward middle of the pack teams. It's not that hard to be a middle of the pack team in the NBA. The problem is that teams would rather bottom out because as it stands now there is no reason for a team that's not a contender to try because there is nothing worse than being in the middle. Teams should be fighting tooth and nail to avoid the bottom but instead they either aren't trying or when shyt gets rough they say ":manny:Hey at least we got a top 5 pick comin."

You talk about the Bucks being a treadmill team for years, imagine if they couldv'e gotten Unibrow to add to their 8th or 9th seed type squad. Imagine if the Suns/Dallas/Memphis were to get Parker or Embiid or Wiggins instead of the sucktown ass squad that likely will. It's better to have teams jockeying for mediocrity than jockeying for being flat out bad.

I don't know it seems as if a few of there guys like wroten and mcw are going to be decent future pieces so any burn they get is going to be a win this season was a loss as soon as they traded holiday at the draft I'm still shocked by to be honest always liked holiday.

That's nice and all and I do wish those guys the best but I can't say "good job" when a team is this bad.

It was clear that they were all about cleaning house and loading up on young talent. I like Jrue too, I think him and Davis can grow into something together in NO.

I want to look back on this thread in 2 seasons and see if the 76ers did it right..I think they get some nice pieces in this draft and mess around and land a good free agent either in 2015 or 2016 and be a potential contender if they hit on there lottery pick.
